    I think the Texans moneyline (+375) is one of the most inviting bets of the weekend. You mean it wasn't a good idea to put Cody Ford on an island with him?

    I hate the JJ Watt ball-washing more than anyone, but the Texans really are a different team with him in there. He impacted the game last week and could do so this week, as well.

    The Seahawks are a very different team without Penny and Carson. Wilson is going to have to throw it a lot today and the Pack have some guys who can really get after the passer. I just don't think it's a good match-up for Seattle.

    I think Pack defense is the best they've had in a long time. Seattle is banged up and on the road for the second week in a row. I never underestimate Russ Wilson, but I'm going with the Pack here (-4).

    I'm surprised that no one (other than me) thinks the Texans will win. They already beat KC once this year (in KC) and I heard that Chris Jones is OUT today. I think we are going to witness another classic Andy Reid choke job. Texans, 28-26. Jones being out is huge. I assume Kelce is playing...

    The Ravens essentially had three weeks off. I have to believe that’s not good for a team that has been on a roll, playing a meaningful game every week.

    You could see it in the Bills game. When the Ravens were held to 2 yards or less on first down, Jackson’s effectiveness plummeted, and they were even worse in third and long. When forced to make plays in the passing game, they couldn’t do it. Everything about Jackson’s game is premised on getting a lead and staying ahead of the sticks.

    I can’t help but wonder if it’s bad for a team to end its regular season with a meaningless game where it rests most of its starters, then has two weeks off with a bye before playing its first playoff game.

    This really goes without saying. Nonetheless, I’m preparing to be disappointed. If Chaisson or Gross-Matos is available at 22, I don’t think Mc Dermott will be able to help himself.

    The Seahawks got Chris Carson in the 7th, Denver got Philip Lindsay in the 6th and Legarette Blount was an UDFA. There are lots of good RBs to be had on day 3.
