You know what’s really a windfall? Playing in the NFC….the Eagles reached the Super Bowl playing three teams—all at home—that probably would not have made the playoffs if they had been in the AFC. To make the Super Bowl, the Bills would have had to have beaten Denver (top defense in the league, with a Super Bowl-winning coach), Baltimore (arguably the most talented team in the NFL, with a great coach), and the two-time defending Super Bowl champs, with the best QB of all time, on the road. And unfortunately, it’s not going to be any easier over the next 5-7 years.

When it really counted, the defense got a huge sack from Phillips and held Mahomes to a field goal…then Brady s**t the bed again.

It’s not going to be easier next year…Baltimore is not going anywhere, KC will fix its problem at OT, and the Bengals will have to be dealt with in the playoffs. Within the division, the Pats will be a pain the ass…

And Beane

Cook does not need to be re-signed. He’s under contract for another season. And stop with the Crosby/Garrett nonsense. Dominant edge rushers have to be found in the draft.

KC, picking later, has badly outmaneuvered Beane in the draft and it keeps showing up in January. Again, not good enough.

We’ve got nothing else…I think you have to keep him around for at least another year, maybe on the franchises tag

Brady has a lot to answer for tonight…continuing to run the QB sneak (without even the benefit of a push from behind) when KC was stuffing it consistently was inexcusable and probably cost us the game…

The exact same thing happened last year, as you may recall.

I mean, the trade back with the Chiefs did net us the draft capital to land Dwayne Carter…so there’s that.

Totally inexcusable and most of us said it at the time.

Just a thought…perhaps we should stop trading our draft picks to them…

Not sure I agree. For the second year in a row, the offense had the ball in the waning minutes and could have won the game with a TD drive, but couldn’t even get a FG. That’s not good enough.

Brady does not trust Josh Allen in short yardage…he will not let him throw in short yardage situations. Reid let’s Mahomes do it all the time.

He’s not going to suddenly break through and start beating Andy Reid…just not going to happen.

How do you know?

Brady played scared all season…always doing the predictable thing on short yardage. Simply not good enough. I wish he’d gotten a head coaching job.

KC never would have done that in that situation…they would trust their franchise QB to find an open receiver
