That’s not the point. I know Prater can kick off…the problem is, he can’t tackle anyone, and under the new rule, that could be a problem. Davis can certainly kick the ball 55 yards off a tee, with a running start.
-
You know the rule changed, right? You don’t want to “boom” kickoffs now.
-
Absolutely not. Why is it not a viable plan?
-
Seems kinda shaky having a 41-year old kicking off under the new rules. I wonder if they would consider having Ray Davis practice kicking off…if he could do it well enough, then you’d have another big, fast player on the field instead of an old, slow guy who would not want to even try to tackle anyone.

The Tyreek Effect -
Not created equal…I think there are a lot of teams that have no meaningful home-field advantage: Vegas, both LA teams, Arizona, Miami, Jacksonville. On the other hand, there are still teams like Buffalo, Denver and KC where home field is still worth a full 3 points…

Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
mannc replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Green Bay will regret the trade. Parsons is already injured. The $47 million cap space Parsons takes up will severely limit GB’s options in the next few years. And just when they need to fill out the roster with cost-controlled talent, they’ll be without a first round pick for the next two years. I also don’t think Parsons is as much of a dominant, game-changing talent as people think. He gets a lot of garbage-time sacks. For example, he was absolutely invisible when the Bills dismantled Dallas two years ago. -
Justice Hill is extremely dangerous every time he touches the ball. (He also made a great play to keep Von Miller from scoring on that fumble recovery in the playoff game.) I’m surprised the Ravens don’t feature him more.

NFL Kickoff 2025: Dallas at Philadelphia (no Bills discussion, please)

I thought the Cowboys exceeded expectations…I honestly think Lamb should be investigated…I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an NFL WR drop three balls in succession like that…. -

That first down run for -2 by Dallas was a killer…just an unbelievably stupid play call. -
Everyone is picking the Ravens. Love it.

I used to think this was an average or below roster bolstered by a superstar QB, but I no longer think that. There might not be a lot of stars outside of Josh Allen, but it’s a very solid roster. The offensive line is probably the best the Bills have ever had, top to bottom, and I suspect even if Josh missed 5 or 6 games, the team could easily go .500 or better. Key defensive injuries every year have prevented us from getting to the Super Bowl…
-
Not to mention Christian Benford in the sixth round…
-
Supposedly Zion Logue outplayed him anyway, and Carter was kept on the 53 because of his status as a 3d round pick, so this isn’t a big deal for the team…
-
🤣🤣🤣🤣As of right now, not a single Bills starter has been ruled out for the Ravens, and the only backups who are out are Hairston and Grable. Get a grip.
-
Same bedwetters we heard from in January, even though the Bills were favored in that game too…
-
It’s a huge concern. Benford hasn’t played a game in 8 months. If he’s still suffering concussion symptoms…I don’t even want think about it.
-
If Benford is hurt, we are cooked. I hope it’s not some lingering concussion issue…

Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
mannc replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
If GB at least reaches the NFCCG the next two seasons (not a stretch with the addition of Parsons), those two first rounders will be severely degraded and combined would be worth about one top 10 pick. I don’t see much chance that either of those picks is top half of round 1. -
Reasons for optimism, has needle moved at an improved roster this year?
mannc replied to Jistafan's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I recall, there were quite a few fumbles, but all were recovered by the Bills. That’s what will be hard to duplicate. But what you say is true…much of the positive turnover differential is the result of design, on both sides of the ball.
