  1. Have to say, I like almost all of the AFL throwbacks: Pats, Broncos, Oilers, Bengals...
  2. And the standing buffalo uniform remains the best...
  3. It’s amazing the difference, watching Brady and Brees, who’s just barely hanging on...
  4. Yeah, easier said than done, but it won’t be hard to significantly improve on Gase and Darnold. That’s probably the worst coach/QB combination in football.
  5. Yeah, the Jags will get healthy as soon as they dump Marrone, but I don’t think the Jets are as bad as you think. If they get the right coach and a decent QB, they could turn things around pretty quickly. They’ve actually drafted well the past couple years.
  6. I think the Ravenphobia is overblown, and the Dolphins are being underrated. The Ravens are one-dimensional and not the team they were last year; the fish are well-coached, extremely scrappy and they’re playing with house money.
  7. Sliding in that situation also prevents fumbles, which often happen when a receiver takes on tacklers to get an extra yard or two. Never seen Diggs give himself up when there were any real YAC to be gained.
  8. Not saying Hurts is the truth yet, but the Eagles’ offense has instantly turned into a better than average unit after 9 games of awfulness.
  9. When the talking heads fall in love with a QB, the excuses are endless. We heard all season how Carson Wentz’s problems were all the fault of his o-line and receivers—then the Eagles put an NFL quarterback under center...
  10. Brees no longer has an NFL arm. Time time hang ‘em up.
  11. I can’t recall a year when more teams are going into the off-season needing a QB. Easier to list the teams that don’t need one...
  12. Chris Simms’s draft analysis and predictions have been really solid. He’s especially good at identifying guys who are under the radar but will be good pros. And his QB analysis has been second to none.
  13. Kiper was correct about Josh Allen, when most were wrong. Don’t look now, but that’s Brandon Beane’s primary accomplishment as a GM, as well, and the reason he’s a GM of the year candidate instead of on the hot seat.
  14. No, i don’t think Darnold can play, but I won’t say it’s impossible for him to become a decent starting QB in the league eventually. I kinda doubt there will be much of a market for the 2nd overall pick once Lawrence is gone. Fields seems to be fading a bit as a prospect, but on the other hand, there are going to be a ton of QB-needy teams this year, so who knows..
  15. We are also seeing that Wentz does not have his head on straight...not being able to get rid of the ball, whining about getting benched when he’s been the worst starting QB in the league all year...Josh is far more mentally resilient than Wentz. I can say with confidence he’s not going to curl up in the fetal position like Wentz if he has a few bad games.
  16. He won’t. Wentz was never half as good as Allen is now. He was a media creation from the get-go.
  17. Yeah, I don’t think we know for sure yet whether Rosen can play. We pretty well know Darnold can’t, and SF (or wherever that team is now) is a place he might be able to succeed. I mean, why not throw him out there instead of Mullins or the other bum?
  18. Ryan Tannehill was never as bad as Carson Wentz is right now, but I admit, it's certainly possible that he can improve.
  19. Thanks. I have not watched much college football this year, and of course OSU has only played a handful of games.
  20. I understand that ownership is a problem there, but the fact remains that they had a good draft last year, they have a bunch of premium picks in the upcoming draft (including no worse than 2 overall), and they already have a decent defense. IMO, it's not inconceivable that they could have a Miami-like turnaround in 2021, if they hire the right coach. And isn't Justin Fields considered a really good QB prospect?
  21. Is Justin Fields no longer considered a top prospect? I thought he was being mentioned in the same conversation with Lawrence only a month or so ago. Why isn't he a solid consolation prize for the Jets? And anyway, how often does it turn out that the first QB taken in the draft turns out to be the best pro?
