I'm not sure about that. As long as Josh Allen is around, Buffalo will be hire the best available candidate in any given year.

You're confused. Josh Allen is far more responsible for that than McDermott. If Beane had not drafted Josh Allen, we'd be the Jets, or at best the Dolphins, right now.

A coach who misses the playoffs with a healthy Josh Allen should probably be fired immediately, absent extenuating circumstances.

I didn’t say fire him, but if we lose to KC in the playoffs again next year, it will be time to wonder if he’s the right guy to get us a championship trophy, which has to be the goal. After the way this game ended, it’s entirely fair to ask some tough questions…

Allen’s much more talented than Kelly was. If he doesn’t win multiple Lombardis then there’s been a management failure of colossal proportions.

Did we play a single good QB this year, other than Brady and Mahomes? I can’t think of one. That’s why we had the “number 1 defense”.

There are probably no other Tyreek Hills out there, but there are explosive playmakers available in the draft every year, and not just in the top 10. The amount of WR talent available every year now is unprecedented. We need to tap into it.

Agreed, Allen doesn’t really seem to take a beating. Hell, he knocked two of the Chiefs’ DBs out of the game tonight.

You mean, before Josh Allen got here? Probably a dozen or more coaches could have gotten this team as far as McDermott did the past two seasons with a future Hall of Fame quarterback.
