  1. Fair enough, but you're talking about two more years in the wilderness with an unhappy franchise QB who has a limited number of years of high productivity, who's not very big, and who has taken quite a beating in his first four years in the league. I think Watson has the ability to force their hand, if he wants to.
  2. If the Texans don’t make that trade, how do the next couple years look for them? Do you think Deshaun Watson will still be in one piece when they finally get out of the hole BoB dug for them? I think they need to do something radical to change the trajectory of the franchise...
  3. Yeah, I think that’s the asking price. Could be a good trade for both teams. The Jets haven’t had a qb in forever and the Texans are going nowhere fast with their current roster, no cap room, and no draft picks. It’s a huge risk, but the payoff could be huge, too.
  4. Not crazy at all. I also think the Phins would make sense, for the reasons you stated. What I’m not sure of is the salary cap implications for Texans if they trade Watson. Does trading him give them much relief? If they can get back three 1s and get a bunch of cap relief, it’s risk worth taking, I think.
  5. Agreed. And let’s not forget, if Daboll does leave, we’ll have our pick of OC candidates. Bright offensive minds will line up to be Josh Allen’s OC...
  6. Not to mention 7 or 8 first round offensive linemen and running backs.
  7. No, he doesn't, and that's already apparent. We don't need more time to figure that out.
  8. Bass has had a great year so far, but the Bills' games haven't been very close, win or lose. Bass has yet to attempt a kick to win or lose a game. Could happen in the next few weeks....
  9. It's hard to believe that Bills fans, after watching what Stephon Diggs did for their team (and Josh Allen) this season, could answer anything other than WR.
  10. I said WR, but you can make a very good case for K. Over the course of a season, the difference between a really good kicker and a below average one could be as many as 30 points and could win or lose two or three games. Not sure you could say that about any other position besides QB. It’s a highly underrated position and the playoff teams who don’t have a good one are at a real disadvantage.
  11. In fairness, the Colts’ defense did finally figure out a way to control Mike Glennon in the second half😀 The Colts are the only team Jacksonville beat all year. And no, their defense most certainly is not better than ours.
  12. Agreed, but in a must-win game only two days ago, the Colts couldn’t put away the Jags and Mike Glennon.
  13. If the Jags hadn’t started Mike Glennon, they could easily have won that game.
  14. I know it’s a week-to-week league, but the Doug Marrone-led Jags notched their only win of the season against the Colts. This is not a juggernaut we’re facing on Saturday.
  15. More important is the list of the QBs he could have drafted but didn't...I can think of one right off the top of my head...
  16. Can anyone explain why Jon Gruden is considered safe, other than his terrible contract?
  17. On what basis? I see a lot of people just blindly repeat this, but I don't think there's any real reason, other than name recognition, to pick Rodgers over Allen for this award. Their stats (including W-L) are pretty much indistinguishable, so that can't be the reason...
  18. Disagree. That roster is depleted and they have no draft picks. They've got Deshaun Watson, but as we've seen, that's not enough.
  19. I may be in the minority, but I think the Jets job is pretty attractive, certainly better than Houston or Detroit. (1) The Jets have a ton of premium picks in the upcoming draft, including number 2 overall; (2) they finally have a good GM who will be using those picks and have already added some excellent talent last year, including a franchise LT; (3) they have a decent QB situation in that you could ride with Darnold for another year or, if you don't like him, you're in a great position to add Fields or whoever you want other than Lawrence in April; (4) they've got a pretty good defense already in place, so you would be free to laser-focus on adding offensive weapons. Downside is that it's going to be a tough division over the next 4-5 years...
  20. That’s a very attractive job—probably the best one out there right now. Lots of talent and a young QB already in place.
