Using a third round pick on a RB is like using a first round pick on a WR. It ain’t that hard. To whiff twice in a row on those picks is ....concerning.

We need to figure out a way to beat KC. It won’t be easy, but there are teams who have been more successful than we have, for some reason. The Chargers and Raiders both played the Chiefs very tough this season and those teams aren’t more talented than we are. There has to be a way. It’s a dirty little secret that under Beane, the Bills really haven’t drafted that well, outside of Josh Allen, who’s covered up for a lot of their sins. And as great as Diggs was this year, I’m not sure long term the Bills didn’t make a mistake by staying where they were and taking Jefferson, who is going to be a monster...

I think Chris Simms is right...Tre White is a good corner, but he cannot be considered an elite shut down corner because does play a lot of man-to-man coverage against the other teams top guy, like Lattimore and Ramsey. Tonight we saw why.

I think this understates the problem. Not only do the Chiefs have more elite players, they have three guys (Hill, Mahomes and Kelce) who are better than anyone on the Bills and are probably as good as anyone who’s ever played at their positions. (Not comparing Hill to Jerry Rice, but I think he is probably the toughest player to cover that I’ve ever seen.) Allen with continued growth can compete with Mahomes, but there is no one like Kelce or Hill on the Bills’ horizon. On the other hand, neither was a high draft pick, so...

I think there is some truth to that and certain organizations seem to prioritize speed, KC being an obvious example. Look at Indy, for example, who picked up isiah Rodgers out of U Mass in round 6; he is a threat every time he touches the ball. The Bills never seem to find those kind of guys. We also seem to draft slow running backs, which is just inexplicable to me...

We’ve had the opportunity to draft some really fast skill players the past few years and we wasted those picks on guys like Singletary, Moss and Ford. It will be hard to catch up with KC in that area...

It’s unfortunate because we’ve used two high draft picks on RBs in the past two drafts and we have nothing to show for it—and it’s an easy position to scout and draft.

Hill can make anyone in the NFL look silly. Absolutely no one can match his combination of speed and quickness. Just flat-out electric. And he never drops the ball.

I thought McDermott had grown as a coach to the point that we wouldn’t see FGs in those situations. I was wrong. He regressed. Totally inexcusable but it didn’t cost us the game. The Chiefs could have named the score.

I think we made Mahomes feel uncomfortable twice. The difference in this game was three guys: Mahomes, Kelce and Hill. We had no answer to any of them. They are better than anyone on our team. Hill is the best non-QB in the league—just an absolute terror on the football field. And Kelce is not far behind.

The red zone offense was terrible, especially inside the 10. Those straight drop back passes were doomed every time. Inexplicable.

Oh yeah, huge strides this year, but we have a long way to go and KC not going to stop getting better. I think we lack elite speed on offense and that showed in the playoffs. There needs to be an emphasis on adding skill players who have top end speed.

That’s exactly right. The difference in the game was Mahomes, Kelce and Hill. Allen can close the gap with Mahomes, but we’ve got no one who can compare to those other two guys. (Sorry, Diggs) It’s going to be huge task.
