  1. He was very good, from time to time. Overall, though, I don't think many people felt Dareus was anything but a bust.
  2. No one actually thought Dareus was good, hence not overrated...overpaid, sure, but there's a lot of competition in that category.
  3. Yes, let's bring back the most overrated and overpaid Bill of the last 20 years, when he's even more over the hill.
  4. What you’re saying is inarguably true. Doc just likes to make categorical statements with nothing to back them up. He’s done it throughout this thread.
  5. That is what Houston wants the rest of the league to think. They don’t want to be seen as anxious, or even willing, to trade Watson, at least at this point. No rush to do anything until shortly before the draft.
  6. That’s just silly to say they should take 3 plus Bridgewater instead of 4 from the Jets. First of all, the Jets’ picks include the number 2 overall pick this year, which the Texans could easily flip for even more picks. And I’m no fan of Darnold, but there’s at least a chance he can become a good starting QB in this league; Bridgewater is a back-up level qb at best. And of course, 4 first round picks is substantially better than 3, especially when one of those 3 picks is all the way into 2023. This “gotta trade him out of the conference” stuff is way overrated and is basically just superstition.
  7. I just don’t see any NFC team that has enough trade bait to make it happen, unless the Niners are going to trade a couple ones, plus Bosa.
  8. That was a different regime. Irrelevant. Pass the pipe. With his contact, McCaffrey isn’t worth even a second round pick at this point
  9. It was unclear, to say the least, especially when read in response to my post...Anyway, I’m still confident that Tua ain’t beating the Bills anytime soon. He’s exactly the sort of QB McDermott locks down tight as a drum...
  10. They beat teams with better QBs than the Bills? I must have missed that. Even against the Bills’ second team, they got annihilated.
  11. I feel very confident in saying that the Dolphins will never beat the Bills with Tua Tagavailoa as their QB.
  12. But Philly was in the hook for the $34M anyway, and Wentz was never playing another down for them. This is a great deal for them.
  13. It's a great return for the Eagles. He was never going to play another down for them and I can't believe there were any other serious suitors, especially with that contract.
  14. I agree that it might be tough for Tua, but they have to have a back-up, right? And I doubt they want to go into the season with Tua and some late-round rookie or unproven vet as a backup...If I'm Flores, I try to keep Fitz around, just in case Tua flames out, assuming they don't use a first round pick on a QB this year.
  15. I don't believe in either of them, but I'd take Darnold over Wentz in a heartbeat, especially with that contract...Wentz is a mess
  16. Douglas got two firsts and a third for a safety and he picked a franchise LT with the 11th overall pick, and the rest of his first draft was pretty good, too. That's a hell of a start.
  17. He was literally the worst starting QB in the league last year. I think the Colts got fleeced, but Reich must think he can turn him around...
  18. Not fair. Douglas had an impressive career as a pro football scout and executive before becoming the Jests’ GM. He knows what he’s doing.
  19. The Jets had a nice draft in 2020 and they are loaded with picks in the next two drafts. They absolutely could have a Dolphin-like turnaround starting in 2021.
  20. Sorry, I didn’t see a lot of bad takes there. Diggs was a very good WR who Josh Allen turned into an All-Pro. Beasley, too.
