  1. The fish have invested a ton of high draft picks on the o-line. The problem is that the guys they’ve picked aren’t any good.
  2. I haven’t seen the Bengals until last night. Was the pass pro that bad in their first three games, or did Jags’ D just have a good game?
  3. The Bengals drafted three offensive linemen this year (including their second round pick) and their starting LT was a top 10 pick in 2019. Chase is going to be a problem for opposing defenses for a long time. He was the right pick.
  4. Bengals’ o-line looked awful, esp in the first half, but I doubt Sewell would have changed that. They were getting over-run. Chase is a weapon that can be moved all over the field to cause matchup problems for the defense and he catches the ball even when he’s not “open”. The Bengals made the right pick. BTW, where was Tee Higgins last night?
  5. Depends what your criteria are. Best QB right now? Best QB to have for the next 10 years? I’d say, Allen, Herbert, Jackson, Burrow, Murray, but it’s real close. He looked very comfortable. Gotta give Urban credit for a solid gameplan.
  6. Same old Bengals. Reminds me of some of those 2000s Bills teams that would start 2-0 and then get destroyed by the Pats or Jets on national TV.
  7. Can you be more specific? A tweet from some random person? Grier's twitter account?
  8. That's quite an indictment of Brooks as a college QB evaluator...Anyone who would conclude that Tua was more talented than Burrow and Herbert, even before Tua's injury, is someone I'm not going to pay much attention to...
  9. I agree. Deshaun Watson is one example and Joe Burrow is another. I'd probably add Oklahoma to the list of programs that are so loaded offensively that it's harder to evaluate the QB as an NFL prospect. Tua was maybe going to go ahead of Burrow before the season started, but no way would he have gone ahead of him after the season Burrow put up in 2019.
  10. Helmet scouting is certainly risky, but IMO there is a greater "buyer beware" factor for QBs coming out of schools like Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. Those schools are so loaded with talent, and so far superior to most of their opponents, that it can be especially hard to determine whether their success was the result of their own abilities or more a reflection of the talent and the system around them. For what it's worth, I think Mack Jones is going to be a good NFL QB, and that Tua is a prime example of a QB with average ability who was made to look like a superstar by the talent around them...
  11. Yeah, even with a garbage-time TD or two, I really can’t see Davis Mills and David Cully covering a 17-point spread at Highmark Stadium.
  12. Correct answer. Aside from his ridiculous production as a receiver, which includes about 20 post-season games in which he was absolutely dominant, Gronk is one of the best blocking TEs of all time. Most of the guys on the OP’s list are glorified WRs.
  13. NFL games have two halves. He blows.
  14. The “Sean McVay is a genius” narrative is getting a huge boost tonight. He actually got to a Super Bowl with Jared Goff.
  15. The league is never letting AR and Green Bay go 0-2. There is a flag thrown on every single play where Lions make a stop. Disgusting.
  16. Is anyone else starting to question whether Flores is actually a good head coach?
  17. What’s the over/under on the number of games Urban Meyer coaches in Jacksonville? This looks like a bad experiment for the Jags…
