Scouting Report Daiyan Henley ILB rounds 2-3
mannc replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice profile, but they don’t mention his DOB. Looks like he’ll probably be 24 years old before the start of the season. When combined with his size, that makes him a day-3 guy, I think. -

I just read that he’s from Washington State, not a “small school”. -
I think you’ll be disappointed in the draft. I bet we don’t take an OL until day 3…right or wrong, they think we are set at OL after the FA signings, and they still love Spencer Brown.

You might want to mention somewhere in your detailed and informative post the name of the college team for which this prospect played…many here probably have not heard of him. -
How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?
mannc replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is no question that the rest of the AFC was pretty hapless over that span, but it's also possible that the rest of the AFC East was bad because of the Patriots...the Jets, Bills and Dolphins were going into every season with two losses on their schedule...they were constantly trying to build their teams to beat Brady and the Pats instead of just building a winning team...the Pats were in their heads. -
Brett Favre suing Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee🤣

And yet Favre has not been arrested or charged... -
Brett Favre suing Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee🤣

From the little I’ve read, the allegations against Farve are pretty complex and he’s not been criminally charged, which you would expect if he had engaged in a massive fraud scheme. It’s entirely possible that he did not defraud anyone, in which case Sharpe and McAfee may be in some serious legal jeopardy. More or less. The reaction here seems to be that Farve’s lawsuit is laughable, if not frivolous. I think that judgment is entirely premature. -

I’m not real familiar with the allegations regarding Farve, or the public statements made by Sharpe and McAfee, but if those guys publicly stated that Favre engaged in massive welfare fraud, and he did not actually do so, then he would potentially have a very strong, and very lucrative claim against them for defamation. -
The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
mannc replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
It wasn’t just one game. We came close to losing to the Dolphins (led by their third string rookie QB) at home the week before. And of course there’s the Monday night bengals game, which was looking a lot like the Bengals playoff game. There is ample reason to believe that real change is needed.- 238 replies

Re-signing, not resigning. Important distinction this time of year.
-
OP was talking about Trubisky...as to Keenum, he's been in the league ten years. I don't think he can or should be written off based on a quarter or two of preseason football and a handful of garbage time snaps in a regular season blowout.
-
I must have missed the game(s) this past season where Case Keenum was “awful”. Please elaborate.
-
Then why are the Cardinals ready to move on from him? It’s not like they have a lot of weapons…at any rate, the fact that BOTH Hopkins and Diggs are long in the tooth does not make Hopkins more attractive…
-
Hopkins is much older than Jeudy and is coming off a drug suspension...I wouldn't give up anything more than a late-round pick for him.
-
Do they even have any picks to offer?
-
Misleading title

Thanks, Lovie!

Yeah, no question the haul would have been lighter, and they might have had to wait until draft day to finalize the trade, but the Bears still would have come out of it very nicely.
-
True, but I assume the Texans would have kept the first pick and taken a QB, and the Bears still could have gotten a nice haul for the second overall pick.
-
What did the Texans give the Bears? Yep, it's a huge haul, but you have to assume there were other teams bidding for the pick, probably Indy, Washington, and maybe others. This was just what the market dictated. If Fields can take a step forward, which I think he definitely can, the Bears have set themselves up very nicely.
-
Disagree. I think it’s a really nice haul in a year where there’s no great QB prospects. Excellent move for Chicago.
-
Wow, great trade for the Bears. Exactly what they needed. IMO, none of these QBs is worth that much, but Carolina had to do something like this.

Report: Dolphins exploring “moving on” from Tua

They have no picks, so that would be tough
