Yep, very overrated coach…

Is this a solution in search of a problem? Are punts really that much more dangerous than plays from scrimmage?

Todays Take on Generational Money Where is That Line ?
mannc replied to T master's topic in Off the Wall
But it’s not being used in either of the above contexts. In the context of football, it’s an overused word that is now pretty much meaningless. And makes even less sense when applied to finances. -
This will do nothing but hurt his case. If I’m the Cards, there’s absolutely no way I extend him now. Juvenile and pathetic. Love the ALL CAPS too.

How about we do away with the term “generational”? it’s totally meaningless and I’m pretty sure it’s not even a real word… -
Bucs Pro Bowl G Ali Marpet retiring at age 28

But that’s the point…as soon as he made enough money that he didn’t have to do it any more, he quit. -

I appreciate the OL perspective. As a DB, I always felt sorry for those guys… -
Yes, we need another TE and Gronk would be a huge upgrade…we don’t know how much he would cost in 2022, or how much a “reasonable backup” would cost…

Let’s face it: It can’t be much fun playing offensive line in the NFL. -
This is a dose of reality that most of TSW does not want to hear…they’ve also forgotten what our offense looked like when Knox broke his hand and we rolled with Tommy Sweeney…

Kareem Hunt: Cut candidate. Possible 2022 Bill?
mannc replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall
Care to address the fact that the police came immediately and didn’t arrest him and he was never even charged with a misdemeanor, despite the fact that they had the video tape? Think maybe there was more to the story? -

The incident was immediately reported to the police, who declined to arrest Hunt or charge him with a crime, despite the victim’s request that they do so. You should consider the possibility that there was more to the story than your 10-second video clip… -

Never charged with a crime... -
Everyone in the NFL who’s performed well and whose contract was signed more than a season ago is “underpaid” in that they could get more on the open market today than their contract is worth. By that definition, Josh Allen is underpaid. Hell, anyone who’s played well on their rookie contract is underpaid. I just don’t think it’s a particularly meaningful concept.

You may disagree with the poster, but he's making plausible arguments and attempting to use logic to support them. He's certainly not trolling and calling him a troll because you disagree is out of line. Frankly, I would be inclined to let Diggs play another year under his current deal before I extended him. I don't necessarily agree that he's underpaid and I don't like the idea of giving a huge extension to a WR who's going to be 30 at the end of his current deal.

Good lord…it truly is going to be a long offseason around here.

You need to fix the title

I have no idea who, if anyone, might have witnessed such a conversation. Nor do I know how reckless or stupid Ross is, so I don't know how discreet he would have been or whether he would have been foolish enough to put something incriminating in an email or a text. (It's not clear to me that offering Flores a "bonus" to lose games would constitute a crime, BTW, although I'm sure it could get him bounced from the league.) I have no doubt that Ross would deny giving Flores any such instruction, but so what? And I can't predict what Grier might say under oath. If he witnessed such a conversation, I'd like to think he would not commit perjury to protect a lowlife like Ross. I don't believe Grief testifying truthfully about what he might have witnessed would "destroy his future NFL career". I think his horrible draft record could, though. Finally, the bolded part is just wrong. In litigation, parties are given a great deal of leeway to seek documents that are even potentially relevant, and Ross's emails and texts would absolutely be discoverable in a case like this. Such a request would hardly be considered a "fishing expedition", regardless of whether there are "other corroborating witnesses".
