  1. It was reported that he’s going to be deposed while the grand jury is in session and that Watson would be taking the Fifth.
  2. I don't know how I feel about this. There are going to be a lot of really good, 100% healthy WRs available at 25. Why take this chance?
  3. Absolutely amazing...some organizations are just mind-numbingly stupid. Makes things life easier for the rest of the teams...
  4. Not clear...It says third round picks were involved, but it doesn't say which team is getting them...it's hard to believe any team would give up even a single day-2 pick for Wentz, but then again Washington is an absolute joke of an organization .
  5. So Washington gets Wentz plus the third round picks?
  6. Nope…reportedly the depositions are going forward and Watson will plead the fifth…meaning that he’s totally screwed in the civil cases.
  7. Makes a lot of sense. Right now, we’ve got three DEs under contract, and all are unproven, although Rousseau certainly had a promising rookie year.
  8. That’s actually a pretty astounding run of poor drafting, especially considering the number of really good players that have come out of the second round in the past four years…
  9. Well, our last three second round picks have yielded absolutely nothing, so why not?
  10. Fine, but they can find guys in the third round (or in FA) who can do that quite well. This guy is not another Jeffrey Simmons.
  11. Davis had 7 sacks in four full seasons as a starter at UGA, and that includes plenty of games against teams like Valdosta State and Furman. There is zero reason to think he’s going to become a guy who affects the passer in the NFL…there’s a much better chance that he becomes a guy who eats himself out of the league in a few years. Hard pass.
  12. Yep, Jordan Davis is a bust waiting to happen. He was a four-year starter at UGA, over which time he generated a grand total of 7 sacks and 31 solo tackles. He’s a guy who’s struggled with his weight and probably doesn’t love football. I can’t wait to see which team wastes a first round pick on this combine warrior…I just hope it’s not the Bills.
  13. Good post…this is exactly why I don’t want Jordan Davis in the first…he does nothing to get us over the hump vs the Chiefs.
  14. I appreciate your perspective on this. For Seattle, this is a win in that they managed to get a pretty good haul that allows them to rebuild. Maybe they have a game plan we don’t know about to replace Wilson. Yes, it’s bad that they got sideways with their franchise QB, but it happened and they were forced to face reality…and unlike Houston, they actually made the best of a bad situation, getting back 2 starters and 4 premium draft picks. The fact is, they weren’t going anywhere with Wilson anymore and he no longer wanted to be there. Now they have a chance to rebuild, with some good decisions and a little bit of luck.
  15. That’s valid, but it’s also one more good AFC team, which could mean our first playoff game is against Russell Wilson and Denver instead of a tomato can like the Pats or Dolphins…
  16. There’s always that possibility…and some evidence to support it…But I bet Denver fans aren’t thinking about that right now…
  17. Unless it means playing at Mile-High in January instead…
  18. I suppose they could also roll with Geno Smith in 2022😄
  19. Yeah, I'm not sure how it helps the Bills, other than maybe making it a bit harder for KC to get home-field advantage...
  20. And a third rounder...what an awful trade
  21. I mean, I guess they could roll with Drew Lock this year...or maybe this becomes a Trubisky landing spot. I'm having a hard time seeing the 'Hawks giving up a lot to move up to 1 overall when there's a good chance Willis and/or Pickett will be there at 9...plus, they're already short on picks because of the insane Jamal Adams trade, so it's not like they're suddenly swimming in high draft picks. I could see them giving up one of their seconds to move up a few slots if a QB they like is there, though...
  22. I thought Carroll was going to retire at the end of the season, but I think if he was going to call it quits he would have done so before now. He's a quirky guy, though, so who knows
  23. Seahawks needed something like this...they weren't going anywhere without major change and now they have a chance to rebuild. This is exactly what the Texans should have done with Watson before he became radioactive. Unfortunately, the Seahawks' recent draft history is pretty awful so there's no guarantee they'll capitalize on these picks.
