  1. I'm going with Christian Watson...more of a hope rather than an expectation. Honestly, I think Beane will pick someone that no one expects, like an edge rusher or OT.
  2. If we don't (or can't) take Christian Watson at 25, I'd love Gray or Thornton from Baylor at 89 (or even 57). Both have the speed and RAC ability we're looking for. It would be nice to find someone with some return ability as well. Not sure if any of these guys can do that, although Watson did return kickoffs at NDSU...
  3. 1. Bills will draft someone in the first round that almost no one had them taking. 2. No trades in the top 12 picks of the draft. 3. No RB will go in round 1. 4. Derek Stingley will be available when the Bills pick—and they will pass on him.
  4. Does anyone think the Giants and Daboll take a QB with one of their first rounders? I mean, there’s no way they pick up Jones’s fifth year option next week, right? Or do they try to move back and pick up another 2023 first rounder? Personally, I think it’s unlikely, but not impossible, that they take one this year…
  5. This is one of the reasons I would not use a high draft pick on Jordan Davis, either…Becton was really good as a rookie, too.
  6. Last year Simms mocked Greg Rousseau to the Bills, so….
  7. He also mocked Greg Rousseau to the Bills...
  8. I think the Bills called more designed runs for Josh Allen this year…I hope he doesn’t demand a trade…
  9. Suspended in college for “not living up to the Gator standard” is pretty hilarious. I’d probably do it for a 3d or 4th…
  10. Hmmm. No Travon Walker, the guy rumored to be in the running for 1st overall?👀
  11. Yes, we had to trade up to 2 with the Giants, to ensure that we got Darnold…
  12. I agree about five receivers coming off the board before 25, but I don’t think there’s much of a “consensus”, and the Bills might be very happy with Dotson or Watson, who fits the Bills’ recent draft profile of guys with extremely high measurables and athletic upside (think Spencer Brown, Greg Rousseau and Josh Allen)…and I agree that Wilson could slide, just like he did in our mock.
  13. If the idea is to trigger insurance coverage, it almost doesn’t matter if they can ultimately prove negligence or not. The mere fact that it’s alleged in the complaint means that the insurer has to pickup the defense costs for the entire case…and since those costs are huge in a case like this, the insurer becomes willing to write a big check to help settle the whole thing. Watson would have to contribute too, of course, but it’s another source of funds…and it allows Watson to later say he was “innocent”, but his insurers made him settle with the women.
  14. If I had to guess, I'd say the negligence claims were added in order to trigger coverage under any insurance policies Watson might have. Intentional sexual assault claims would not typically be covered by insurance, but negligence claims almost always are, which means that Watson's insurers would, at a minimum, be on the hook to pay for his legal fees, which are undoubtedly astronomical.
  15. With the 48th pick in the 2022 TSW Mock Draft 2.0, the Chicago Bears select Alec Pierce, WR, Univ. of Cincinnati. The Bears’ WR cupboard is bare, and Pierce was standing out at this point in round two…a big, fast, athletic receiver who is strong at the catch point…just what our young quarterback needs. The N.O. Saints @Virgil are on the clock.
  16. With the 39th pick in the TSW NFL Mock Draft 2.0, the Chicago Bears select Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan. This team has needs practically everywhere, but we have to start with protecting Justin Fields. Raimann has great size and athleticism and can play either left or right tackle. We're hoping for the kind of impact Spencer Brown had for the Bills last year. The Seattle Seahags and @HappyDays are on the clock.
  17. Deebo's injury history is a consideration as well, especially for a team that's going to trade a first round pick for him and pay him a ton of money.
  18. I’m not sure how you can say Watson “was a third round prospect” a few months ago…the draft is still 9 days away. He’s bigger, faster and stronger than Garrett Wilson. One of the biggest mistakes people make in evaluating draft prospects is over-emphasizing college production…it would not surprise me if Watson comes off the board before Wilson.
  19. Yes, I disagree. I would prefer Watson or Dotson. Both are more athletic and explosive and provide more YAC ability. I do think Wilson is good, though.
  20. You'd have to ask the people who passed on him...I think he's good, but Dotson and Watson are more explosive/athletic. There is also a feeling that he benefitted a lot from being in the Ohio State system and played against a lot of vastly overmatched teams.
  21. I don't like it. If the board falls this way, there are too many good players available at 25 who probably won't be there at 40 or 41. A trade with the Lions would be more interesting...We'd then have two picks in the top 34...
