  1. I don’t think the NFLPA was tipped off to Robinson’s decision; much more likely that they just feel it’s going to go their way based on how the hearing went, questions she may have asked, or comments she may have made…but if it was so obvious that the league is going to lose, then you would think they would have been anxious to settle, and that doesn’t seem to be the case.
  2. Nah, the Panthers saw enough of Darnold last year. He’s the backup.
  3. This is a thread about Dee Ford, I think. Just released by SF.
  4. Four years in the league and he’s already got more highlights than all the other Bills QBs since 1960 (other than Jim Kelly) combined.
  5. I would take Josh Allen over Justin Herbert 10 out of 10 times. Herbert is a great talent but he just has a way of coming up small in the big moments (kinda like the Chargers). He is nowhere near the leader that Josh is.
  6. This kind of thing just never gets old.
  7. Are you contending that these women consented to whatever it is that Watson did?
  8. You are correct…there is no comparison. Watson is accused of forcing himself on dozens of women; Kraft had consensual sex with one woman, for money.
  9. If Josh Allen were the team's only selection in the 2018 draft, it would probably still go down as the best draft in Bills history. Everything else is gravy.
  10. Any ranking of the 2018 NFL draft that doesn’t put the Bills in the top slot is the product of a moron.
  11. Certainly true, but I would think it would still be better than going into the season with Jacoby Brissett...
  12. Browns got almost nothing for Mayfield...I wonder if this means they believe Watson will not face a lengthy suspension....
  13. And more importantly, any "punishment" meted out to Watson, the Browns or Haslam will have zero impact on future contracts.
  14. I don't really understand the NFL asking for an "indefinite suspension". Why aren't they asking for a suspension for a specific amount of time? Are they saying that their investigation is ongoing and they can't make a final disciplinary decision until all the facts are known? That's the only thing that makes sense. I have no clue what Sue Robinson will decide...she certainly appears to be smart and experienced, though.
  15. It’s true that there would be a strong preference to resolve ALL the cases rather than let four linger, but we (including you) just have no idea why those four have not settled yet. There are dozens of possible reasons, and of course there is a good chance the last 4 will settle too.
  16. I don’t necessarily think that. I said it’s possible. We don’t know one way or the other. There is probably a rough formula that the attorneys are using to settle out these cases. For some reason, these four plaintiffs have rejected what’s been offered. They might think they have such a great case that they want to go to trial, or their case might be so weak that Watson’s team has offered them substantially less than they offered the others and they don’t want to accept a lower offer. Or these plaintiffs might have some other reason not to settle…maybe they think the offer will go up if they hold out. That’s possible too.
  17. It is entirely possible that some of the four remaining are strong cases and some are weak; there are many reasons cases settle, or don’t. Each plaintiff has to make up her own mind…
  18. It’s not a class action and probably could never have been filed as such. It’s just as (if not more) likely that the last four cases have the least merit and therefore Watson and his team are offering substantially less to settle them.
  19. Can’t agree with your argument that Ruth faced worse competition…there were fewer teams and baseball was far and away the dominant team sport back then…the great athletes weren’t being diverted to basketball or pro football, although there was of course the color barrier, which was certainly a big deal, and few if any Latino players…
  20. You’re failing here…no one said Kraft is a victim…just that he’s no Watson. And of course you have no idea if he received favors from a trafficked woman, or if he knew it. Quotes from a state’s attorney are not evidence. 100 percent speculation. Well done.
  21. There was never any allegation that Kraft trafficked anyone. So the argument breaks down completely.
