  1. That's a fair point, but if all of the receivers pitched in and paid for the truck, then the conflict of interest risk is minimized. I'm also not sure how much say Hall would have had regarding playing time or who was making the roster.
  2. Even before he went to KC, Reid won a hell of a lot more than McDermott has. He reached four straight NFC Championship games. And he was eventually fired, despite a level of success far exceeding McDermott's, after which Philly finally got "over the hump".
  3. Smith was with Baltimore by then…
  4. Goodwin and Bobby Woods still in the league…not sure about Sammy
  5. On Fan Duel, we’ve gone from +500 to +340 since Monday. Pretty big jump…
  6. Even the best AFC playoff teams are nowhere near as good as the top teams in the past few years.
  7. Back-to-back home losses to 2-win teams…good lord. The Steelers belong nowhere near the playoffs.
  8. All they need is a DPI
  9. Well, I think our chance of making the playoffs went up a few percentage points tonight…I’ll take it
  10. It’s extremely fortunate that Mitchell Trubisky never had to take a real snap for the Bills.
  11. It’s an instant classic
  12. Keep feeding Zeke please
  13. Who was the poster here who went on a year-long crusade to draft Trubisky?
  14. It’s gonna happen. By the way, we lost to New England.
  15. The Steelers are going to get another ugly win, aren’t they?
  16. I agree, but it feels to me like the 9/11 thing could really hurt McDermott, even more than his poor performance on the field in that it tends to make him an object of ridicule. But of course, if he had turned out to be a great coach, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
  17. It's definitely a crossroads game...win and there's real chance to run the table and make noise in the playoffs. Lose and I think the wheels come off. If the latter happens, I don't think McDermott is safe, no matter what Tim Graham says.
  18. That's different. That suggests some sort of settlement where McDermott walks away, gets paid some amount of $, and is free to pursue other opportunities...it's really more of firing than anything.
  19. Nope, can't do that either. A coach who's under contract can't just quit and go work for another NFL team.
  20. Zero chance of that. He just signed an extension and would be walking away from as much as $20 million...If McDermott's not fired, he'll be back. Guaranteed.
