  1. You might want to mention somewhere in your detailed and informative post the name of the college team for which this prospect played…many here probably have not heard of him.
  2. There is no question that the rest of the AFC was pretty hapless over that span, but it's also possible that the rest of the AFC East was bad because of the Patriots...the Jets, Bills and Dolphins were going into every season with two losses on their schedule...they were constantly trying to build their teams to beat Brady and the Pats instead of just building a winning team...the Pats were in their heads.
  3. From the little I’ve read, the allegations against Farve are pretty complex and he’s not been criminally charged, which you would expect if he had engaged in a massive fraud scheme. It’s entirely possible that he did not defraud anyone, in which case Sharpe and McAfee may be in some serious legal jeopardy. More or less. The reaction here seems to be that Farve’s lawsuit is laughable, if not frivolous. I think that judgment is entirely premature.
  4. I’m not real familiar with the allegations regarding Farve, or the public statements made by Sharpe and McAfee, but if those guys publicly stated that Favre engaged in massive welfare fraud, and he did not actually do so, then he would potentially have a very strong, and very lucrative claim against them for defamation.
  5. It wasn’t just one game. We came close to losing to the Dolphins (led by their third string rookie QB) at home the week before. And of course there’s the Monday night bengals game, which was looking a lot like the Bengals playoff game. There is ample reason to believe that real change is needed.
  6. Re-signing, not resigning. Important distinction this time of year.
  7. OP was talking about Trubisky...as to Keenum, he's been in the league ten years. I don't think he can or should be written off based on a quarter or two of preseason football and a handful of garbage time snaps in a regular season blowout.
  8. I must have missed the game(s) this past season where Case Keenum was “awful”. Please elaborate.
  9. Then why are the Cardinals ready to move on from him? It’s not like they have a lot of weapons…at any rate, the fact that BOTH Hopkins and Diggs are long in the tooth does not make Hopkins more attractive…
  10. Hopkins is much older than Jeudy and is coming off a drug suspension...I wouldn't give up anything more than a late-round pick for him.
  11. Do they even have any picks to offer?
  12. Yeah, no question the haul would have been lighter, and they might have had to wait until draft day to finalize the trade, but the Bears still would have come out of it very nicely.
  13. True, but I assume the Texans would have kept the first pick and taken a QB, and the Bears still could have gotten a nice haul for the second overall pick.
  14. What did the Texans give the Bears? Yep, it's a huge haul, but you have to assume there were other teams bidding for the pick, probably Indy, Washington, and maybe others. This was just what the market dictated. If Fields can take a step forward, which I think he definitely can, the Bears have set themselves up very nicely.
  15. Disagree. I think it’s a really nice haul in a year where there’s no great QB prospects. Excellent move for Chicago.
  16. Wow, great trade for the Bears. Exactly what they needed. IMO, none of these QBs is worth that much, but Carolina had to do something like this.
  17. This is great news for other AFC teams…like the Jets hiring Adam Gase after he flamed out in Miami. Another team we can cross off the list of potential rivals…
  18. The Raiders can’t afford either of those contracts. That’s why they cut Carr.
  19. So who are the Raiders going to roll with at QB?
  20. Unfortunately, it’s an area that has been neglected in the draft for a while now…hard to turn it around in one offseason, but KC managed to do it.
