hey biscuit, henry had a very good run blocking unit in jennings brown and williams. who has willis had-gandy, tucker, anderson and villarial to replace those guys. also henry is 5-9 210-215. give me a !@#$ing break how henry is in the same league as willis! not to mention that willis doesnt fumble 20 TIMES A YEAR.LOL also willis led the league in 20 yard runs 2 years ago behind a crappy o-line, he had a 51 yard td called back vs the rams in 04, a 68 yard screen pass called back and a great 31 yard burst vs the dolphins were if u download the highlights he shows great acceleration when almost outrunning morlon greenwood to paydirt!this past season he had a 50 and 54 yard run called back and one run vs the falcons that almost could have gone for 60 yds, willis has been unlucky with the whole his burst isnt back because he has no long runs. oh yeah the o-line sucks! TRY AND GET YOU ANALYSIS RIGHT DUMB ASS -

the kid is everything u want in a rb. speed power explosiveness and moves. not to mention his sick accleration for his size! if willis mcgahee ever recaptures his true acceleration and 2nd gear he will be the next walter payton!!! -

first of all mcgahee had the worst o-line in the nfl last year, period, especially run blocking! maybe the texans had the worst pass blocking, lol. secondly mcgahee had a inexperienced qb which means he probably made the wrong calls on the run schemes which means mcgahee's 1250 was pretty damn good, lets not count how he was banged up towards the end of the year or how there was nothing to play for either! willis mcgahee is not the problem or anything close to it. the problem is the o-line and the qb because of their incompetency. until the o-line has adequate play and the o-line plays consistently then we will continue to be pretenders! losman is hardly the problem when u are a rookie and u have 2 seconds to throw the ball, give me a !@#$ing break. willis mcgahee is a top 5 or ten runner after the knee injury so i would call him a plus. what our we going to do draft another runner. he is fine if not spectacular! u dont understand the true problem. stop worrying about willis mcgahee who 20 other teams want and wish they didnt pass up. -
7-9 if we have minimal improvement on the lines and at the qb position, 9-7, 10-6 if losman and one of our young d-lineman breakout!!

back to bills defense of the late 90's
jdellapelle replied to jdellapelle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lori, then in 01and02 wiley went to the pro bowl. if it werent for injuries he would have another 2 pro bowls in my opinion. bottom line is wiley in his prime was better then any d-lineman we have had in the past six years!! -

jdellapelle replied to jdellapelle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i seem to remeber from 98 to 2002 wiley was top 5 hat his de spot. -
i am thinking that if the bills picks on defense work out, do you guys think we can get back to playing bills defense like we did when we had thomas smith, henry jones, antoine winfield, sam cowart, (before the achilles), marcellus wiley in his prime, and ted washington, not to mention bruce smith and phil hansen

is there any ot's or dt's left in fa. and does anyone have any sources on who might be cut june 1st. i like tim anderson and all but i have to think that jaroun and fewell want a proven veteran and at least one or two more bodies in this rotation. we still dont have a speed rusher opposite schobel!

i like this kid, saw him a few times and he always was around the ball, great range and quickness! i'm going out on a limb and saying he leads us in special team tackles. its the one thing that has not been scouted as much lately but st coverage and being a great tackler are the things he does best

i saw this guy a ton the past three years and he was a complete steal. i see him starting right away at rt or rg and possibly lt. he has a very short temper and the nastiness of a young kevin gogan. i am telling u right now he will get in about 3-4 fights in camp to claim his job. he will start for us for the next ten years. just going on what i saw. biggest strength is his run blocking and tremendous athleticism, weakness is sometimes his temperment and over extending and being to aggressive. WORTH NOTING: Very underrated performer who is expected to be a three-year starter at right tackle ... has started the last 26 games at right tackle, the longest streak by a UVa right tackle in more than 20 years ...joins LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson as the only offensive linemen to start every game the last two seasons ... is still relatively young ...doesn't turn 22 until mid-September ...is the only player in school history to start three bowl games at right tackle and one of only nine offensive linemen to start as many as three bowl games. HONORS: 2005--Received the Rock Weir Most Improved Player Award along with Jon Copper for spring practice ... received the Judge and Mrs. Harold H. Purcell Family Football Scholarship from the Virginia Athletics Foundation. 2004--Received the Judge and Mrs. Harold H. Purcell Family Football Scholarship from the Virginia Athletics Foundation. 2003--Received the Judge and Mrs. Harold H. Purcell Family Football Scholarship from the Virginia Athletics Foundation. AT VIRGINIA: 2004--Started all 12 games at right tackle ...got bigger and stronger and was one of the keys to the most improved offense in the ACC ...very rarely comes out of games ... turned in an exceptional performance in the season's first game against Temple ... graded out at a career-high 93 percent with five knockdown blocks ...typically moved to left tackle when D'Brickashaw Ferguson wasn't on the field ...UVa led the ACC in rushing offense (242.8), total offense (423.4), first downs (264) and fewest sacks allowed (16) ... Virginia's 112.6-yard improvement in the rushing game was the second-best improvement in ACC history, as well as the second-best improvement in the nation behind Michigan State (141.1) ... lettered. 2003--Was one of two sophomores to bookend the offensive line ... started all 13 games at right tackle opposite classmate D'Brickashaw Ferguson at left tackle ... very rarely comes out of the game ... helped the offense increase its rushing and passing per game averages from the year before ... lettered. 2002--Gained valuable playing experience ... appeared in 12 games in a variety of roles ... served as the backup to Mike Mullins at right tackle, but was also listed at right guard due to injuries to Elton Brown and Ben Carber ... started the bowl game vs. West Virginia after Mullins was sidelined due to surgery ... made his debut on the field goal block team and right tackle against Florida State in the second week ...didn't play the next game vs. South Carolina but played in every game afterward ... moved to right guard prior to the N.C. State game as the team got thin at the position ... saw lots action at the position in the final three games and was well prepared for the bowl game.

JP is best suitable for the job
jdellapelle replied to bills4bowl21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think if losman can be the quarterback flutie was with a stronger arm than i would be very happy. jp has now where to go but up since he most definetly will improve especially with adequate o-line play. watch out for brad butler he has every thing you want in a rt or rg... i just predicting he will start opening day. he has will wolford written all over him. -
what # do u think whitner and youboty will where? will youboty take winfield's old#, that would be wierd.

Round 5 (#143) Selection: OT Brad Butler

sorry biscuit -
i read somewhere that he ran sub 4.8 and all the bills scouts thought he was the quickest dt. if u watch him play his demeanor, size and quickness remind me of a mcfarland, tommie harris type who is constantly in the backfield !@#$ing sh-- up

winfield at safety, enough said! -
once again it would still measure if he truly lost a step or two. no one runs forties in pads anyways. i just wish willis could put his speed questions to rest and just say hey i run....
-
i think that if and only if youboty play really well in the mini-camps it is very possible clements is traded for a top pick or a top dt maybe a ot....what do u guys think?

CADETS THAT WAS BEFORE HIS KNEE INJURY. LOL, I ALREADY SAW THOSE STATS....

Round 5 (#143) Selection: OT Brad Butler
jdellapelle replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OH YEAH, HEY DIBS U STFU. I SAW THIS GUY PLAY ALOT AND IF HE WAS A LT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A 2ND ROUND PICK. I AM GOING ON RECORD RIGHT NOW THAT HE WILL START A RT OR RG ON OPENING DAY. HE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PICKS!!!!!! -
Round 5 (#143) Selection: OT Brad Butler
jdellapelle replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A JASON FABINI TYPE WITH EVEN MORE OF A MEAN STREAK, THIS COULD END UP BEING A VERY GOOD PICK. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING ON THE O-LINE, PLUS HE PLAYED IN THE ACC, LOTS OF PASS RUSHERS AND A CONFERENCE BUILT ON SPEED ACROSS THE D-LINES. -
can someone please give me a specific forty time on willis mcgahee after his knee injury and a source!!!! no one really knows and it is bugging the sh-- out of me. SOMEONE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
