Many, many thanks for putting that together last night—my son and I had a great time visiting a part of the city we wouldn’t have without some local help! And yes, please @GrimboG on sharing the photos, that would be much appreciated! Go Bills!

Speaking of the Jags’ owner, my son and I went to the Fulham-Sheffield Utd soccer game today and sat next to an old time Fulham fan who was (in a very British, understated way) cursing him out for not spending any money on the club. (He owns both Fulham FC and the Jags—thank God there’s no hockey team involved!) Somewhat shockingly, the best seats in the house/stadium where Fulham plays are unusable because the builders did a crappy job and that part of their stadium is unstable. Unreal in the modern sports era I’d have thought. Time to sue the builders and rebuild that part of the stadium….. And yes, I second the emotion above about gazillions of Bills fans compared to a handful of Jags fans. I’ve never said “Go Bills!” this many times outside our stadium….

Can't make the game this weekend, so want to sell my tickets responsibly to Bills fans if possible. Will take $350 each for them ($700 total). PM me if interested. Go Bills!

Many thanks--I've decided to bite the gullet and just do a cab from the airport which my hotel arranged. Just don't want to get stranded on Friday--too much to try to do and see!
-
We're unfortunately arriving on Friday, so I just tried to order a cab via our hotel's concierge desk. London also has Uber so we should all be prepared for surge pricing being in effect on Friday. Time to check on what's near the hotel for Friday afternoon activities....

Many thanks again. This article lists the train lines impacted by the strikes (although it's tough to tell which days which lines are striking, as there are apparently several days) and unfortunately HE is in the list of striking railways: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2023/09/24/train-strike-dates-2023-rail-services-affected-aslef/

Many thanks—I agree that it’s normally super easy to get around London, but the day we arrive there is a Tube strike planned, so was wondering if that also means the HE will also not be running. I’d love to avoid having to book an advance taxi or car for $200 if we can, but also would hate to arrive and be stuck at the airport with no way into the city due to the strike.

Many thanks for the tip—one quick question. I’m arriving on the morning of Oct 6, a day when the Tube strike is on. Will that strike impact the HE? For ex. is the HE represented by the same union and thus be out on strike that day, too? If not and the HE is still running, would I be able to take the HE to Paddington and then get a cab/Uber there to my hotel a few miles away? Or will cabs/Uber in London be swamped due to the strike?

I was actually able to get in on the season ticket holders sale and got two upper deck end zone seats for about $120 each. As others noted, it was a cluster*****. Only seats I saw were upper deck end zone and I clicked the link at 10:30 am sharp. As they were disappearing quickly I just clicked two and headed to check out. I may try to upgrade if prices come down in better sections. My biggest challenge may be getting my son to be able to go, as he has school (I want to leave Thursday night to get more time there in) and may have his own cross country meet that weekend. My daughter's in college and may want to go (she went to the Fins playoff game with me), but we're in different cities, so may be a bit tricky.

Interesting—if this was truly random, at least one of us would be within striking distance of tickets rather than almost all of us hovering at 200-300k

296,000–as someone else said, “Oof”….

Best of luck with the Bills lottery tomorrow! Out of curiosity, how did you get the Arsenal tickets? I’ve been looking into the secondary market on that. Less than I might have thought considering the two teams, but still a bit stiff….
-
I was able to get 2 in 452 (end zone upper deck). Very difficult to navigate the map/site. I wanted 4, but they were going so quickly that I just checked out with the two. Happy to have them, but will try again on Thursday (or in the aftermarket) for more/better seats. Now I just need to convince my family to go to the game!

Looking into tickets for Premier League games and noticed that there are secondary market tickets from various ticket brokers for the Arsenal-Man City game, which would be expensive, but phenomenal to see. (I've dreamed of going to an Arsenal game since reading Fever Pitch--have toured Emirates, but never been to a game.) Some questions for our UK Bills fans friends, if they don't mind. I seem to recall someone saying that the folks at Emirates frown on scalped tickets to the point of not letting people in with them. Am I misremembering that? Or are ticket brokers common/allowed in the UK? Any particular ones to consider or avoid? And finally, is there a chance this game gets moved time/place-wise because it's a huge game? If moved, would it be just later that night or possibly go another day? I'd hate to shell out and then not be able to go. Many thanks in advance....

Many thanks--it's almost like they were listening to me! Next Tuesday at 10:30 am is what my email said for season ticket holders to try to buy London game tickets. Just blocked that time out on my work calendar!
-
Many thanks! Many thanks. Do you know when tickets to games typically go on sale?
-
Just realized that I never heard from the Bills on the season ticket holder London tickets sale. I registered for that, but never heard back from them or saw anything else on this. Did I miss something? Did they skip that and just go straight to the June 22nd general ticket sale?
-
Folks--any news on when they'll let us know if we can buy tickets? I entered the presale lottery for season ticket holders, but it looked like that's open to register until Monday. Anyone have a sense of how likely registrants are to actually get tickets? Want to wait and make sure I get tickets before allowing myself the fun of thinking about hotels/flights/soccer tickets, etc.....
-
Many thanks, GB--I'd love to see an Arsenal game while there. Toured Emirates Stadium a few years back, but have never been to a game there. By "gold dust," do you mean almost impossible to get or just very expensive, and if the latter, any sense how much secondary market tickets might run?

Some clickbait from Florio. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little even contemplating this.... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/30/if-bill-belichick-and-patriots-part-ways-after-2023-what-happens-next-for-belichick/ From the article: "Then there are the Bills. They have quarterback Josh Allen. They have underachieved in recent years. Could the Bills empty out the organization and turn everything over to Belichick? It’s hard to imagine someone not wanting Belichick. But there’s a different aura around him now than there was five years ago. First, he’d have to want to keep going. If he does, he’d surely get a chance. And with the right roster, there’s a chance he could be the first coach to win a Super Bowl with two different teams." Talk about a deal with the devil....

Well, of course Solomon Grundy does!

Zay Jones is a waste of space so far this game--its like they're playing with one wide receiver, locking on Kirk, and he missed a key block n on thar series. Worse than worthless....
-
Will the Premier League presumably be in season then? If they play on Saturdays, may be a great sports weekend "double dip" opportunity. London is such a great city--I'll definitely look into going....
