We are in row 12, sec 230 in the Paul McGuire Club. Nice view and the heated seats still work Plus we have the overhang over us for about ten more rows. Rarely do we get any rain or snow in our face as most weather patterns come from the SW. Off to the side of the Bills bench but with binocs can see what is going on but more importantly, close enough to scope out the cheerleadres The club inside has tables and plenty of TV's, some showing other games or major sporting events. Good food (Ilike the beef on weck) and beer, wine or hard drinks are available. Extra bucks but it's worth it to me.

All time biggest draft or free agent busts
LancasterSteve replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not quite; With the first pick, in the first round of the 1972 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select............... Walt Patulski, DE Notre Dame nice guy that didn't want to hurt the QB and if that wasn't bad enough the Bills in the 3rd round selected Notre Dame's other DE Fred Swendsen. The pass rush was pretty much like we have today -
As I posted on the main board just a clone of Trent, dink and dunk from the Z Report with Lance Zierlein: http://blogs.chron.com/fantasyfootball/ Our newest clone QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Bengals: Fitzpatrick finished the last eight games of the year with a 4-4 record and 6 TDs with 4 INTs. He's a much better scrambler than I expected but he never really looked down the field much which could hurt his chances with the Texans. Fitzpatrick had a 59% completion percentage, but he also relied on too many check-downs and short passes. Still, he's young and should be fairly inexpensive. And he is inexpensive which should make Ralph Wilson really happy after Levy gave away the bank to two duds in Royal and Dockery. I just hope as Ice used to say "the A$$clowns"we will be signing better have warmer bodies than the two stiffs the Bills just cut. A ruderless ship will eventually hit the shoals and sink. That's the Bills today. NO GM and no one can say with certainty who is in charge- I asked all three of the Canadians running the ticket office and none of them knew...sad. Place used to be packed with people working at OBD and I knew many of them. Ran into one guy I knew from years past and he comfirmed what I had heard elsewhere that Wilson's daughter, Linda Bogdan (a VP) is going to have a greater say in the draft and is still in charge of evaluating O-linemen. It might have been my imagination but I could have sworn the I noticed him giving a thumbs down sign when he said this. Another thing the place was like a morgue; no chatter, no laughing or even arguing. This must be the new "don't disagree with anyone group" I used to be there so often it was like a second home but the blank zombie like stares got me to thinking that the "Real OBD" is floating around in space and that the Twilite Zone has taken the present TBD into the fifth dimension. Not kidding, I had a really wierd feeling after I left the building.Maybe it was the hot Chocolate

Guy on Billszone claiming he works for the Bills...
LancasterSteve replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True Dat!! I used to work for the Bills as you know. I would never post on an Internet message board what I overheard (and I heard plenty!!) of who the Bills had targeted in FA or had a high interest in the draft while I was employed by the Bills. Very few people left at OBD that I knew. TD really cleaned house when he joined the Bills. He canned some really good people, including scouts that didn't follow John Butler to SD. We all know how wonderfull our drafts have been since then; esp. with Linda Bogdan-super scout having daddy's ear with the draft. -
Happy Birthday Sid, hope you have a great year and enjoyable birthday
-
Ralph's not about to fire his daughter Linda Bogdan, scout extraordinare and Corporate VP, who has a big say on draft day. Why doesn't anyone wonder why Tom Modrak who oversees the draft, lives in Florida and rarely comes to WNY? We lost 2 more regional scouts in the past 2 years...I wonder why?; and these were replacements from the time the late John Butler left and all his friends- the Bills scouts followed John to San Diego. It's sad that this once classy and well run football organization has deteriorated below any episode of "The Three Stooges" If we had Curly, Larry and Moe it would most likely be a step-up. I have sat through many seasons going back to 1962, from very good coaches to coaches like the late Harvey Johnson who wasn't a coach at all...to this. Closest thing I can come up with is we have the "Deer in the Headlights Man" A good friend I know through my sailors organization who lives in Chicago, kiddingly told me that he was happy that Jaron was gone; that his style of football was boring and in the end he will break your heart because of his lack decision making skills. I called my friend I while back and told him that he was right on all counts and that this baffon we inherited from Chicago would most likely be fired after the season. I was wrong. The Ralph Wilson I knew no longer exists and in the end that is even sadder.

Rumor: DJ has lost his job.........
LancasterSteve replied to SKOOBY's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Wilson's box was empty today as far as I could tell with the binocs. I know RW never made it to Buffalo today and with these high winds continuing I would be surprised if any flights are taking off or landing; although it isn't as windy now compared to earlier in the day. -
Who runs the Bills drafts??
LancasterSteve replied to LancasterSteve's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Corrected; surprised my mind is sill able to post somewhat coherent senteces due to the fact that IM the caregiver for my 88 year old parents and my sleep has to be put on hold.. Mom is blind and mind is confused most days. My Step-Dad can hardly walk and they both need help bathing everyday plus I cook all their meals and have to hand feed my Mom. Hurts to see them in fading away. This is the reason I haven't been able to post like I once did and the only break I get is on game days when his daughter will take came of our folks BTW has anyone heard from Millbank. Last I heard he was in the hospital...heart I think? -

Linda Bogdan Vice President/Assistant Director of College and Pro Scouting during the season and bowl games, all-star games and scouting combine activities... grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from The Hewitt School in 1967...matriculated at Bennett College (associate degree in 1969)... outstanding amateur tennis player...has captured several club championships at Forest Hills (NY) in both singles and doubles...daughter of Bills Chairman Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.... resides in Englewood, NJ. Linda Bogdan VP/Asst. Director of College and Pro Scouting 20th Year in the NFL 20th Year with the Bills ▼ Was promoted to her current role on May 10, 2006 and will have an integral role in the franchise’s college and professional scouting departments... prior to her recent promotion, served as Corporate Vice President since March of 1991 with a special interest in the area of long-term planning for the Bills...only active female NFL college scout and worked the past 19 years in the Bills scouting department after joining the team in 1986 on a part-time basis...has scouted collegiate games during the season and bowl games, all-star games and scouting combine activities... grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from The Hewitt School in 1967...matriculated at Bennett College (associate degree in 1969)... outstanding amateur tennis player...has captured several club championships at Forest Hills (NY) in both singles and doubles...daughter of Bills Chairman Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.... resides in Englewood, NJ The last draft Bill Polian conducted here in Buffalo, Linda Bogdan tried to tell Polian in the war room who to draft. She made quite a seen from what was relayed to me. I worked for the Bills at the time and am still friends of many players from those years. Bill was and still is a pretty hardnosed guy; but sure knows his talent. He had Ms Bogdan removed from the War-room. She went crying to daddy (Wilson) and Ralph was pretyy close to firing Polian before the season even started. Well heads cooled off but Ralph Wilson still had a grudge against Bill Polian because he told daddy's girl to go to hell and stay out of his football operations. There were other things that occured over the coure of Bill's final season here. To be sure there was no love lost between these two. Some in the media had speculated that Bill knew his time was up in Buffalo. He never let that impression with me or many of the front office personell or the many players I had and still have as friends. Bill being the classy guy he is and was never went public with any of this in any detail. Our drafts have gone downhill since as has this franchise

A simple Google search of "currency exchange", which took all of 5 seconds, brought up a number of sites that can do the job. So the question is, why do you post these types of questions when it's easy to do the job yourself and find the answers? I'm not going to lecture you, but I will say this, that education you're getting will be useless unless you also have problem solving skills to go along with it...and problem solving doesn't mean asking others for help the moment you don't know how to do something. njsue View Member Profile Add as Friend Send Message Find Member's Topics Find Member's Posts Nov 6 2004, 01:38 PM Post #13 Let's go yankees! Jack too bad I didn't see this thread earlier. Might have been able to pull some strings. How many tickets have you needed for the TBD tailgate in the past? If I can't work something out with this "new" ticket outfit (half are from north of the border), at lease I can get 6 extra for every game and know several other season ticket holders that be willing to get tickets for "Wallers" I haven't asked if people wanted tickets to any games in a few years because I never received any responses. Even the Club Seats where we sit always have extra tickets available. The seats (4) to our right are payed for by one of the local companies. I am going to inquire about those because sometimes they are filled for a half before the people leave, but half the time no one shows. Same goes for the 6-8 seats in front of us; sometimes they can't make the trip from the west because of weather or work. I'll talk to them also and ask what they would want for a ticket. Would anyone be interested in purchasing a club seat in the future? Most likely below cost because something for the ticket is better than nothing We really enjoy our club seats and if you can afford the extra $400.00 bucks this is the way to go. Plenty of tables to sit down, heated inside, clean restrooms, a bar, and best of all top-notch food and specialty deserts...yum-yum that you won't find in the rest of the stadium. After the game you can stay awhile to watch the 4:00 games, or golf, baseball, etc, drink (there is no cut-off time) and unwind after the Bills win another nail-biter Anyone interest for the futhur, PM me.

I was thinking the same thing. All Lynch had to do is call the cops and tell them that he noticed some damage on his SUV and was in the area were this girl got hit but doesn't know if he hit her as the wind was really whipping around a downpour on a very dark night. The better half and I were visiting friends not far from the strip and left from our friends home maybe 20-30 minutes before this accident happened. It was a cold pelting rain that at times seemed to be going sideways. We have a rather large SUV and have noticed in the past that just a strong gust of wind on the quarter panel will produce a "thump" sound; in fact the first two times it happened to me, I stopped, got out and checked because I thought maybe I hit something or someone. Called the dealer and was told that they had similar reports like this from other owners of the same model as ours. Trouble is you buy a 55 grand car and the damm thing is plastic!!! No matter it seems how much you pay these cars or whatever, they are all junk, but I regress. I had a somewhat similar accident during my college days. I was on a date, had just crossed Main Street after a red light, so I was not going fast (Thank God). A 11 year old girl came flying out of a deli carrying a bunch of ice cream suckers or maybe Popsicles. It was raining hard, never heard her hit the car but saw the ice cream suckers or Popsicles fly across the windshield. I stopped immediately, the girl was alright for the most part, shook up, a couple of very miner cuts (from hitting the ground). She had really bolted fast from the deli (according to he owner) and ran between two parked cars. Asked the deli owner to call the cops (this was way before cell phones, in fact rotary dial phones were the norm (-: They came, I knew them as I knew every city cop and most of the sheriffs department back then. Even so stopping was and is still the right thing to do IF YOU REALIZE that a person may have hit your vehicle. I checked back on the young girl a week later and she was fine. Had a nice talk with her mother and how she had even warned her kids about running between parked cars. Only thing that sucked for me is that my insurance went up, as they sent a check for $500.00 to this girls mother so that she would not pursue any future litigation. She took the money and never heard from her again. $500.00 bucks in 1967 was a hell of a lot of dough, esp. to a single mom and daughter living on welfare. But my main concern like I said before was that the kid was not seriously hurt Quite possible Lynch had a few "pops" in him ( but there is no proof he was over the legal limit when he got behind the wheel if indeed he was driving) and got a little paranoid with cops in general after his and his families run-ins with the law before. Maybe one or more mouthed off at one of WNY's finest. Something like that would spread like wildfire. Lynch is a young kid in a strange town, had a few "pops" not enough to get him drunk ( but a cop would surely smell it on Marshawn's breath) panic than an overwhelming fear set in. What to do, get out of there fast, get home where its safe and deal later with what happened. Morning comes Lynch calls his lawyer who tells him to clam up. Thus the BS mountain begins to grow mostly with help of this kid lawyer Lynch has hired and who has always had aspirations of taking on the almighty Buffalo Bills ever since the Bills ejected him from the stadium when he was 16 for being drunk and fighting. Motive #2, the revenge factor (-: Now what happened to me is 100% true just as I told it. The rest about 80% true and the other 20% well lets just say as the old Marvin Gaye(Sp) song goes "I heard it through the Grapevine" -
I always remember that the term for a dude with fishhooks in his pockets as being a "skinflint" The only time this ever happened for me was when my ship was in drydock in the Redhook section of Brooklyn in '72. I had ended up in some dive wearing dress blues. Made it back to the ship 3 days later ( believe me I have no clue how ) and to this day I can't remember her name. Good times!!

Both really good choices, but I have talked with Ted Marchibroda on more than a few occasions. Down to earth guy with a good sense of humor. Some of the stories he tells would never make it to print because he would not want them to. One on one he will paint a picture of the Bills and the players from past eras that not many people know about... if he trusts you to keep what he says between the two of you. -
