  1. Imo, our “respectable” running game is simply our Unicorn QB. Many of his “official “ rushing attempts start out as a passing play or RPO. We don’t have a true running game and haven’t since Allen’s 2nd season. Does it show up well in the stat sheet? Yes. But…
  2. Great interview! I haven’t seen this podcast/show before. Love BB’s sweater. Gotta git me one!
  3. Hell, consider this ‘Inside the opponent’s’ 10. Morris replaces Knox at TE, Knox replaces Kincaid at F, Harris replaces Cook, Shorter replaces Davis and McGovern replaces Quess. How would you defend this?
  4. I’m not sure a clear cut starting lineup even exists on Offense, sans Josh & Steph. Especially now with Kincaid in the fold. As with Brandon, I like Shakir, but he was the understudy to Lil Dummy and Beasley as a true slot receiver. The hybrid 11/12 personnel package now being talked about by BB is Kincaid as the flex receiver -formerly referred to as slot. Add in dashes of Davis, Shorter, Harty, OL specialists and even Quinton Morris. Either way, Shakir will figure in -providing he doesn’t encounter the dreaded Sophomore Jinx..
  5. Well, we Know how much. It’s the signing bonus where the big cash shows. That’s from Terry.
  6. Great scoop, BillStime!
  7. Poppycock and Bolderdash! its only because we just added gramps to the RB room. Otherwise, we’re among the younger teams in the League. Gotdam whippersnappers!
  8. It’s rare, but I disagree with you on your take here. Every year, more and more teams are transferring their O scheme to opponent specific designs. 4D chess as it were. The days offenses being 1 dimensional ala “power run team ‘OR’ downfield passing one” are long gone. Ergo, having OL & RBs with diversified skill sets is a key ingredient to being capable of changing your stripes. Add in a cold weather team with a great passer and becomes essential to maintaining a winning team.
  9. Fantastic interview! Thanks for sharing!
  10. Thanks, Sierra. Always great to chat with another old timer who really knows the NFL. I had occasion to meet Vince’s daughter at a mutual friends funeral. Knowing who she was, I introduced myself and gushed over her father with quick insight that I knew much about him. She was charmed by it and gushed wonderfully about him as well. She’s better know in the League than I realized and we became so caught up in our lengthy conversation we almost forgot the purpose of the occasion…🤦‍♂️ I was enamored with her during this chance meeting. The legacy lives on.
  11. for the Post-Draft lull. When John Facenda narrates your football chronicle, you’re a somebody! Enjoy.
  12. Did you mean ‘Ringo’? Great Packer Center? yes, “a seal here! And a seal here and run it UP THE ALLEY!” Sean is a good coach, already ascending to 13th winningest HC. But he’ll NEVER be compared to Vincent T.
  13. Agreed. The best aspect of ‘hanger on’ fringe players is that the many reps in the system for a few years provides sound continuity when they are called on to enter a game. They’re not just up on that weeks’ opponent, Allen can call a rare play -perhaps from a season ago, from the depths of the playbook for a particular situation and they know the play and what to do. That’s value.
  14. Yes, very strange! We have zero interior DL signed for ‘24. We’re gonna need 10 picks just to trade up in the 1st next year trying to find a 5 year starter.
  15. The double-edged sword of his flat feet makes him impossible to get around when he plants them and explodes. But he’s not very nimble..
  16. Size, strength & soft hands. Shorter is LARGER!
  17. I’m thinking the Brass wanted a veteran presence in the RB room. May not see him in September..
  18. Horrible! I can’t imagine the sorrow.
  19. Guess? I’ll guess it’s the only 2 guys who’ll play for less the $2m per
  20. “Bridge the gap”?? What are you even talking about?
  21. Welp, actually following pro football, I have to disagree. This is the 3X defending AFC East Champion, who are consequently forced to Draft late in every round they have a pick. Nonetheless, we drafted 2 day 1 Offensive starters on one of -if not the most exciting Offenses in the League. I’d encourage you to name another similar team of late who can match this, but you’re a self-described hucklebuck, so I’ll refrain. Even with the teams’ lofty standing, their greatest weakness last season was their RedZone attack where turnovers and unfinished Drives required immediate attention. Adding a highbred TE and a stud, tall, powerful WR along with a powerful OG is more than a doctor could prescribe for what ails this unit. Entering the draft process with just 6 picks and losing one immediately in Rd. 1, was quickly remedied through multiple trades that returned the lost pic and created 9 picks for next season along with a likely comp pick. We reinforced our OL depth in addition to a starting OG and added a ST menace. As for Williams, there’s a lot of traits with him that inspire a strong look at. Assuredly, the jury is still out. But, Hey! Thanks for playing!😄👍
  22. Obviously this is all conjecture, but I think we were quite fortunate to find 3 of these guys we didn’t imagine would be there for us. So, B+
