I’m glad to see Winston Hill get in. That era Jets OL was tremendous, John Schmidt (C) Talimini/Herman & Rasmussen (G) & Walton/Hill (T). They’re what made Namath, Snell, Boozer, Maynard, Sauer Jr. & Lammons household names.

Eye of the beholder, I guess. I was thrilled with the premise initially as it was way past time to right a True Wrong regarding great AFL players who’ve been subbed by the old guard NFL types. But as the whittling down continued through the year, it became very clear our beloved AFLers will never get their due. So yes! NOW that we have a clearer understanding of likely inductees, it’s Same Old, Same Old. Just a bigger and yes, watered down class.

I’m fairly sure this won’t be well received, but to me, Morse is the weakest link on our OL. Smarter heads than me decided he was a must have early in FA, but consistent pressure up the gut and virtually nothing running in the same area rate a serious rethinking. Yes, he’s an experienced Center re: Line calls on the fly, tendencies per Down & Distance and League respect. So my ‘feeling’ doesn’t hold much water but my eye test says Feliciano and even Bates were more consistent at the position. We spent a boatload of $$ on him and for many years, but we must get stronger up the middle. It’s a weakness that was exploited. jmo.
