  1. From the Rockpile (Buffalo) To Orchard Park, more than I care to count. But my daughter hasn’t been. She was too young during the SB years when I took my son to many unforgettable games, then we moved to Florida. Son & I get back nearly every year for a September game, but daughter has never missed a Bills game in Miami, where she lives, or here in Jax. She/we were so hoping the September 20th game would be a Home Game as we’ll all be in town for a family wedding and she’d finally see a Home game. Not only are they away that Sunday, they’re in her backyard @ the Fish. So she’ll miss that too.. Now, our only hope is the Super Bowl in Tampa for this season.
  2. *other than Josh Allen* is still tough to assess. If he’s the QB of note in 9 wins this season -which is frankly expected, he moves into 4th Place all time in QB wins behind the other 3 J’s of team history, Jackie, Jimbo & Joe. And he’ll do it in UNDER 3 seasons! Yes, it’s a team stigma we’ll likely never outlive, but that’s 61 years of play to overcome for a 23 y/o farm boy with no prior legit coaching. Knox & Milano are lovable ‘lunchboxers’, Tre & Tremaine are fantastic, Stefon is thrilling. But Josh Allen is simply an enigma. #Vote17
  3. Had a great chat with him a dozen years ago at a Bills reunion silent auction in NF. Truly great guy. He’s a Georgia alum and it was Florida Georgia day in the Swamp. ‘My’ Gators won but he knew everything about the Dawgs team that day. YOU belong on a Wall! Great story, ya nimrod!? Yo!
  4. My 7th grade Math teacher got Monte Ledbetter to come talk with my little league football team in NT, late 60’s. 1st athlete I met personally, though the Bills would come annually to play our teachers in basketball, after the season. Ya gotdam Whippersnapper!
  5. I was there too. Lower section beneath Howard, Giff & Dandy Don. Dawson started, but was ineffective/injured. It was pretty much the end of his career. Juice over 1000 halfway through the season. I saw the tv camera panning up our sideline and jumped up waving as it came past me, wearing a yellow Niagara Mohawk rain coat. Friends of the family living in Philly called the next day to say they saw me ?. As for video, ‘73 was before the League starting making game clips. ABC was notorious for taping over games at the time as they were new to broadcasting the NFL. I hope not, but I’ve never seen anything except a short clip of Howard leaning through the booth window, getting the crowd riled up and the scoreboard showing OJ reached a grand -on the ‘73 Bills highlights video.
  6. Per this, we’re in great shape. Most of our fat contracts won’t likely be here in ‘22.
  7. Withdrawing in ‘73, it’s now more than 47 years ago (a few years less for the official end of the conflict). That makes the youngest vets 65 now. Their numbers are quickly dwindling as we maxed at 2,709,918 who served in ‘Nam. For reference, we had 16 million troops in WWII. ‘Agent Orange’ has sadly played a significant role in their demise. Personally, I wasn’t too far behind them, having joined up in January of ‘75 on a delayed, 6 month enlistment. Somewhere around April, I received a notification that Vietnam Era GI Bill benefits would expire before my expected start date and I should move my date up immediately to receive the benefits. I didn’t participate so I didn’t deserve it and reported on my official date. P.S. Thank you for your Service, OP!
  8. Jesus H! It never ceases to amaze how poorly Bills fans are at math. We gave up 1 (One!) 1st round pick. We used the other One to select him. I was at the previous game in Houston, watching Orton just sit there on the bench by himself the whole game while Manuel destroyed any chance he may have had playing in the pros. Next week, Orton is starting @ Detroit and delivers yet another last second, come from behind win -albeit with the help of a 52 yard fg. He played better than any other Bills qb during the drought except for Bledsoe’s 1st year. I was bummed when he up & quit right after the final game, but had no issue with Marrone doing so soon after.
  9. Take a trip and never leave the farm
  10. Give it a rest, MJS. No one understands your 1st post and it’s gone all downhill from there. Anyhoo, wifee & I spent a couple hours at the beach today. Distanced ourselves sufficiently and -while we didn’t wear masks, had them nearby. The scene was unsettling. Many groups of 10 or more and a lot of them were seen mingling with other folks just walking by. I have a sinking feeling feeling about football in the Fall..

  12. Just so I have my technology correct, it’s a drone or wired camera that’s capable of seeing directly overhead of a possible rule violation, right?
  13. I think Flacco is an older version of Darnold. Which I think bodes well for the Jets if Darnold goes down or contracts another disease.
  14. You obviously have no idea what is accurate and what is ridiculous. Have you even bothered to read the other posts in this thread and all others you ‘contribute’ to that counter your bizarre takes? Seen and comprehend the emojis implying the same? You haven’t made a single post that ISN’T ridiculous since you changed your screen name yet again. Make an appointment with your doctor tomorrow. If you’re not on meds, therein lies the problem.
  15. As usual, your input is ridiculous. Take your meds.
  16. Inbred, twisted, no good, sonofapup, stupidass, cornfed, halfwit, cowboy boot wearin’, countrymusic lovin’, downhome, crap-kicking, goat screwin’ MORON!
  17. He has a fantastic wit! I’m surprised he isn’t doing broadcasting.
  18. ^. ^ ”the same mistakes all year that he made last year”?? He improved his play significantly on a game to game basis. It’s obvious what camp you’ve set your pup tent up in. Equally obvious you’re not going to consider opposing views, regardless of facts. Good luck with that. This concerns me too, but again, I think all bets are off this season during the pandemic. Schedules could be significantly reduced and creative playoff formats appear to be all the rage today. If we win the Super Bowl this year, I’ll never Place an asterisk next to it. Short of this, I don’t see anything foretelling the future once life returns to last years’ ‘normal’.
  19. I’m guessing the bolded part was a Freudian slip..?
  20. the good doctor has spoken.
  21. You’re welcome to your opinion -not that anybody agrees with you. Read below to see how an intelligent post is compromised. Insightful. Thank you.
