  1. If I had any suspicion you are the end all authority on these matters, I might not laugh at this take. But I don’t. ???
  2. Whoa Easy, Cowboy. Easy! I didn’t assume anything about anyone -well, maybe you..now. My point of reference would be old teams like the Raiders and any team Deon Sanders played with. But Every team practices lateral drills. Last ditch kick return, hook & lateral catches, etc. Knox (thanks for the correction) wasn’t anticipating it. But I’m sure he will from now on. That’s all.
  3. -and there’s an Army here who subscribe to that notion. They’re just bait-clickin’ the usual suspects. This passes for sports journalism these days..?
  4. With way more than 100 posts per month, it’s clearly evident you’re on a quest to capture the All-time Most Noob Posts in the 1st Year Award ?. Unfortunately for the rest of us, it’s always at the cost of quality content. It had its time in our formative years as we got our legs under us, but the quest has gone the way of Confederate General statues. Here’s a tip, Less is More.
  5. Ha!? Then you’re gonna HATE the next dozen years or so. FAR from “totally stupid”, League history has tons of highlights where laterals have turned into TDs and 3X that where the ball was advanced further upfield. Sure, it can backfire. Somebody is going to get the ball. There’s no stats to verify/discount your perspective but per the eye test, teams notorious for being willing to lateral the ball to teammates are predisposed to expect it. Edit, had it worked, the 2X3 poster would be hanging on your living room wall
  6. I’m half hoping/half expecting that Devin and EVERY Buffalo Bill have this play indelibly etched in their collective mind that Allen IS ‘that guy’ who wants the ball with the game on the line -as Brandon Beane exclaims. 8 game winning drives in less than 2 seasons reinforces this as the rule vs the exception. Lose focus at your peril when on the field with Josh and the game is on the line.
  7. I realize this play has become the mantra for the anti-Josh gang, but consider for a moment that Singletary was mentally sharper in the half second he was unexpectedly given a glorious opportunity to advance the ball in an overtime playoff game, already in enemy territory. He doesn’t possess blazing speed, but there was NO ONE in front of him. He either scores or Hauschka comes on for an easy 3. Either way, if the rookie secures Allen’s intentional lateral, we’re playing in KC the following week.
  8. You should have stopped here.
  9. Yes on both counts. I’m with the masses that he was overrated for all the penalties and poor teams he played on. Seemed like most of the PB Selections were an empathy thing from the League. ‘Well, they sucked again, but we should put 1 player in from them...’
  10. Damn, Dude. You’re awfully critical of writers when, well, Emperor, ‘nice’ outfit..
  11. Nothin’ gets past you Doc. He’s clearly known more for his electric work -both with Pink Floyd and solo. He’s also quite adept at steel guitar which is an instrument Country Music is famous for. But that’s all those corn fed folks can play.
  12. @Gugny, @Hapless Bills Fan & 1 were ‘Shout’ing about this, so here’s a thread to post famous musicians playing instruments OTHER than what they’re known for. Who ya got? David Gilmour
  13. That’s our Boy! -for better or worse.. That video was AWESOME! btw.. Thanks for posting @CorkScrewHill
  14. This narrative gets harder and harder to justify as the years and teams go by. I mean, there comes a time when you realize ‘OK, maybe he IS..’ He’s been around since Christ was a rookie but few -if any(?) teams have ever called him back..
  15. He needs to be their National Spokesperson! Match made in marketing Heaven!
  16. ?shhhhhhh! We’re saving it for the Super Bowl! we had a play similar to this, back in the day. Set up the Defense with a couple QB sneaks, then, near the goal line our QB would close his hands under Center and drive forward on the snap. But our Center fired the ball through his and the QBs legs to a RB lined up behind the QB who took the snap & threw to a wide open, uncovered WR as his cover man raced in to help stop the ‘sneak’.
  17. Why does this ridiculous topic continue to rear its ugly head here??‍♂️
  18. Please continue.
  19. @219+ pages, this thread has run its course. New one created.
  20. and then one day you find 10 years have got behind you. No one told you when to run. You missed the starting gun.
  21. No, despite being encouraged to take your take to your own thread, the point you’re relentlessly failing at is criticizing 75 year old aerial tactics, using modern day platforms. I wish you’d calm down, but you’ve chosen to hijack a D-Day anniversary topic for ridiculous bitching from the other side of the planet. Thanks, and Congrats.
  22. You’re avatar and signature line cornfuse me..? anyway, some more Bobby Chandler hi-lites.
  23. Midway battle had 2 different flight squads. The 1st attack was from land based, low level fighters & bombers and we lost nearly every plane. The 2nd group were carrier based dive bombers, who’d actually lost their way and were running out of fuel when they spotted a destroyer speeding NE. Following it led them straight to the ***** fleet and they were already high in the sky. A Complete Chance opportunity. Anyway, again, criticizing tactics (“they should have done this, they shouldn’t have done that”) using modern day capabilities vs the infantile methodology of the day 75 years ago, is ridiculous. But feel empowered to start your own thread.
