Back to the place our ‘20 dreams died ugly. 2 days later, at their End of Season presser, McBeane -in harmony- declared we must have a better pass rush. One could argue all facets of our game needed talent infusion the way we were manhandled that night.. But the SB outcome reinforced McBeanes’ directive and we added significant upgrades to the Pass rush. How significant? League-leading significance! Averaging 4 Sacks/Game, alone at points allowed, yards allowed, margin of victory and Takeaways (11)! Star & Oliver are playing at levels we haven’t seen and the rookies have provided real juice! We’ll need all of this tonight. This season, KC’s Defense has been miserable and their offense sporadic -given desperation turnovers. Mid October finds them out of 1st Place in their Division for the 1st time since Mahomes started his 1st game. But all this could change tonight with a ‘Get Well game’ vs. us, and they believe they’re in our head. Are they?* It’s taken a few weeks to break from the 5-wide offense we ran so well last year, but being better Defensively is part of a more ball control approach on Offense. We’re getting better week by week while still knowing if the opportunity presents itself, we’ll shred with passing. The quiet changes on OL (not around here, but..) have had a great impact in keeping Defenses honest, with Williams moving inside, ‘the Freak’, Spencer Brown taking over at RT & true improvement from Moss & Singletary. KC made major changes up front as well, but early results are mixed. Just as Mahomes is Mahomes, Allen is Allen and our deeper receiving corps is a nightmare when healthy. Facing a currently very suspect Defense bodes well! Even the decided edge at TE is reduced with the emergence of Knox actually catching everything thrown his way of late. Mother Nature followed the team from last week and will make her presence known again. Whaddaya gonna do?🤷‍♂️ It’s one of the Leagues’ biggest games of the early Season. The Storylines are off the charts! Coaching: Teacher vs. Student, Round 4 QB: 2 of the Very Best! AFCCG rematch! The New Bills Defense KC in trouble? Are the Bills Spooked?* Which Super team is more desperate? The answer to the ( * ) questions will be answered late tonight! All things being equal, Buffalo is simply a better, richer team at the moment. But the defending Conference Champs are lurking! Right, cuz Edmunds hasn’t started every single game since he became a Bill, hasn’t made a Pro Bowl, hasn’t earned weekly League honors and hasn’t been named a team captain. If a player can’t achieve these standards as an early 1st Round pick, he’s a bum. Cuz otherwise, a shlepper on his couch knows what he’s talking about. Anyway, Congrats Taron!
