  1. Not just color, LIVING Color on NBC 😉
  2. Ringo was a Center for the Packers in their glory years, til he had a falling out with Lombardi in a contract squabble. Vince traded him away. But he became a great OL coach.
  3. ‘nother one from ‘73. Season ender record-breaking performance and Weeb Eubanks’ last game. Sorry, OP. Not an obscure game..🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  4. This October 7, ‘73 Bills/Eagles game is one of my all time favorite games. It was my 18th birthday (I could drink booze!) and played in our brand spanking new, beautiful “RICH” Stadium. Roman Gabriel and Norm Bulasch had joined the Birds, Rookie Joe Ferguson has supplanted Dennis Shaw as our QB and “Orange Juice “ as he was nicknamed then, was on his quest to top 2000 yards rushing in a 14 game season -a feat still unmatched. Seesaw battle all day with multiple lead changes, crazy plays, thrills and spills! It came down to the final play, where record-holding PK Tom Dempsey was set up for a gimme GW FG. He STUBBED it!! Spent the rest of the day gloriously drunk!
  5. For you, Sir. I know, What A Guy!
  6. My goodness what a career with the Bills he had! Thank you, Eddy! Rest now.
  7. Good response. Remember, AJ was a real surprise still being on the Board as it was claimed the Bills and other teams had a 1st Round caliber tag on him. So I agree he’s getting a mulligan for committing to the teams’ desire that he completely alter his body for what they believe will best benefit him and the team.
  8. IIRC, Fergy’s pass bounced off the top of his helmet in the endzone..🤦‍♂️ Many families screamed excitedly riding in a Pinto! Then they were never heard from again..😱 He had 75 yards receiving on that drive alone. Also had a huge 4TD game vs Cinci (I think) that year. Some great memories!!
  9. Yes! I wish this video had all 3 plays of that Drive. Spectacular catch over middle by Hooks!!
  10. I, too, liked Donte. I could get past all the crying about his Draft position because he started immediately and was good. I kept wanting to complain he’s too small, but he kept performing! The team? Not so much.
  11. Mods sleeping on the job again..🤷‍♂️
  12. Brilliant analysis. 🤦‍♂️
  13. I’ll give you Badol. Extremely knowledgeable-but drenched with vinegar. Scott? Not so much, no.
  14. WOW! 😲 Hot Take, Man! But I like it.👍
  15. Moss is a fighter -I’ll give him that. Even if he doesn’t really force defenders to “make business decisions“. He’s a capable receiver as well. Just a hunch, but I think he’s fallen out of favor for something we haven’t been made aware of.. 🤔
  16. C’mon man. 🤦‍♂️ let this Turkey of a thread die in peace
  17. 2 2nd Rounders and a 3rd in the last 3 Drafts. They just can’t crack the lineup. There’ve been some injuries that have kept them out of games and we platoon DL & RB. But even when they’re healthy, they’re often scratched on Gameday. Our OL has been a weekly shuffle for a couple seasons now, so assuredly Ford has been offered opportunity, whereas we’ve tended to go with ‘hot hands’ at RB & DE. Can Position coaches, new schemes and new player additions help get them to break through? Or have we seen their best and it ain’t cutting’ it.. This guy, along with our resident pessimists @BADOLBILZ & @ScottLaw -who’ll blame McBeane, believes the end is near.
  18. He’s a Polish guy from WNY who’s taken too many shots to the melon. I think we’re all familiar with this to some degree.. I won’t believe til after 3 years out.
  19. Ditto. Out 1st Throwback uni was a MNF game vs. Denver in the 90’s. Because we weren’t allowed to wear white helmets, the red one with a white, grazing buffalo looked hideous. It looked like a flock of geese let loose together overhead.. 🤦‍♂️
  20. We have so many former players from the 60’s through modern day who’ve chosen to live in WNY following their career. Buffalo has nothing to compare to LA, Dallas, Vegas, Miami, NYC, etc. What is does have is a lot of hard working, fun loving, hearty and caring people, who tolerate the often horrible weather while supporting their neighbors. Only locals and pro athletes who’ve played here are aware of the fabulous food offerings, historic culture and manageable mortgages. In the swank cities mentioned above, seeing stars of every venue is rather commonplace. In B’lo, they’re worshipped -as long as they return the love. If Booker Edgerson walks into your favorite corner bar, you’re paying his tab. It’s how we treat those who’ve given us thrills and great entertainment. It’s a wives tale that we don’t pay what big markets pay their players. It’s the cost of doing bidniz. So that has very little bearing in this day and time. Those athletes who prefer bright lights and glitz will always sign elsewhere -if the money is equal. But it’s really not a deterrent. Good topic for discussion, @eball. Thank you.
