A season ending loss at Houston cost us the Division and QB Jim Kelly with a knee sprain. The epic WildCard game comeback avenged the Houston loss followed up by an impressive road win at Pittsburgh in the Division Round. The stage was set for arch enemies squaring off in the Title game in sunny Miami with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl

I confess to not being there. Living in Dansville, the local owner of the cable tv channel was a Bills fan and he would bootleg broadcasts of every home game that was blacked out in WNY. Yes, I still own the vhs tape of the full game with zero commercials. The feed just stayed at the stadium during commercial time outs. The feed would show announcers reviewing recent plays to show live when the true feed returned OR just stay focused on the cheerleaders! 🫨

The core of the great Lou Saban teams was still mostly intact but beginning to age. We started 0-2 but turned the season around to host the AFL Championship game. This time, the winner would advance to the 1st AFL/NFL World Championship game (soon to be renamed the Super Bowl). A rare great find in very good condition. The heroes of my youth! ENJOY!

Yes, but as advertised, the last time we had the extra home game was sent to London. Meanwhile our opponent that game was the Jags who’d been staying there from the week before. They killed us and the NFL learned a team overseas for 2 straight weeks has a decided advantage over a team flying over 2 days before the game. I expect our 9th Home game this season will be away from the U.S. as well..

We ‘did just fine against’ them because we outscored them. Not because we were fine on our DL. It’s the 17th game thing. One season we play and additional NFC game at home, the next season we play an additional NFC game on the road.

With Hoecht & Ogunjobi sidelined the first 6 games for drug use, big games early against likely top contenders is foreboding and could seriously jeopardize our season, whether they’re nationally televised or not. We are/were desperate to upgrade our DL and certainly expect Hoecht to start/contribute for a couple seasons. Even with 10 picks in the draft, the likelihood of landing a day 1 stud to the middle of our DL is minimal -to say nothing about TWO difference makers. The end of Daquan Jones is upon us and Miller is history. I expect these early games to be against top teams where the winner has a huge leg up in playoff seedings a few months later. 🫣 Me too! Is there an 800# crisis hotline for our addiction??

An overseas game, the Eagles as our odd away game, more South American/ international games and the successful luster of our MVP and ‘snow globe’ late home games and our now perennial 1st place schedule. If you thought 6 prime time games in our early schedule last year was strange, hold on to your hat! We’re national tv darlings and a Must See NFL brand! Very interesting insight from ‘the man’. Note: very lengthy but great fuel for Bills junkies!

I disagree as it’s not ‘to be fair’. We were great in the mid 60’s, had OJ & Fergy in the mid 70’s, Playoffs in the early and late 80’s were SUPER in the 90’s and have been fantastic since Beane/McDermott & Allen showed up. Jets simply sucked before and after Namath.
