  1. I'm sensing a theme here...
  2. These two statements are about as accurate an assessment of McDermott's philosophy as I've seen. Dorian has all the physical tools to be a great LB, he just seems to lack the mental part. I agree that it probably drives McDermott crazy.
  3. Still can't believe he makes this first down.
  4. Wow, I didn't realize he was that old. Hope he's doing well.
  5. Lot of missed opportunities in that game. It was frustrating to watch. Thank goodness for that punt return TD.
  6. I think the point is that you have to return it if the kick falls within the 25 yard line.
  7. Link to video showing all of the new modified kickoffs from yesterday's game. I was not up for watching the game last night, but I was definitely interested in the new kickoffs. Fortunately, Chicago made a compilation of all of the kickoffs from the game last night. Here it is for those interested...
  8. The camp battle nobody saw coming... They both have advantages and disadvantages, and both seem to have some decent upside. Not sure how they're gonna make that decision, especially since Davidson has already been on the PS twice before.
  9. I know, right? I don't understand this at all.
  10. Proletariat seating.
  11. As an update, I got my appointment email today. It was a link to a web site where you can pick your day/time from the options available. As mentioned before, it's only M-F, 9 to 5. It had options for the entire month of August, so it wasn't like I only had a single week to choose from. That said, as I was looking over the options, the available openings were disappearing right before my eyes. Seems like a group of people probably all got emails today, and they were snatching up openings. I'll be going on Monday, August 12th. We'll see, I'm skeptical of the whole thing.
  12. I mean, it's a worry, but the truth is that Rapp was always going to be one starter, and the other was to be a battle between Edwards, Hamlin, and Bishop. Hamlin's still available, and it sounds like he's been doing well, so my sense is that these latest signings are to make sure we have sufficient depth at the start of the season, allowing Bishop the time he needs to recover and catch up on the position.
  13. Pretty interesting to see, thanks…
  14. During the drought, often they were. We yearned for meaningful games in December (much less January).
  15. Sure, but should we be worried????
  16. Plenty of non-hereditary reasons for clots that are of enough concern that continuing this type of massive contact sport might not be such a good idea.
  17. Perhaps early, though in the two seasons prior to this last injury he had missed only two games. Mid-career, he had been pretty reliable. Nevertheless, as others have pointed out, nobody should expect that he is back to his old self at this point, or even close to it. The knee will give him problems in his first action back, there's no question it will. He hasn't done a lot of the physical things he's needed to do in a long time, no matter how much rehab he has been doing. He's testing it now in ways that he couldn't do otherwise. It will take time. The hope is that he continues to improve with time, as his body adjusts. By the end of camp, if he is still having trouble (or has a setback), then that would be cause for concern.
  18. Well said. I found it tough to watch.
  19. I haven't done either, but I'm weighing the option of doing it virtually. My appointment will be coming up in the next couple of weeks (supposedly), and it would be much easier for me to do virtual, but I'd really like to see it in person...
  20. Not sure why, but I'd love seeing Gilliam get some snaps on offense.
  21. I read somewhere that it was the same as last year: she watched from the privacy of a dark SUV on the side.
