Many exciting finishes but the Kelly keeper is right up there at the top. Nate Odoms had to make a crazy interception off Dan Marino to give the Bills a chance. What was Marino/Shula thinking throwing it? There's also the crazy finish against the LA Rams on Monday Night Football around the same time. Frank Reich was filling in for Kelly and threw a TD pass in the final seconds to beat the previously undefeated Rams.

Reading Carucci's column in the Snooze today made me wonder how much longer Shady might be with us, given his age, star status, and salary. I'm not as familiar with his contract and the impact on the cap, though. What would be the impact if he's let go after this season? Too much dead money? I don't necessarily want to see him go, but the new regime may not be as interested in a 29-year old RB with a high salary.

We've had seasons since, oh maybe 1977. I was able to get single game tix this morning. Got me some extras for the opener.

Another thought is...if TT goes down and we have CJ as the #2, we get to see if we can sink or swim with him as the QB. If we swim, then we have him as the future starter. If we sink, then we're in better position to draft a top QB in 2018. Not the way I'd do it, but it's possible...

I seem to be seeing this repeatedly, but my recollection of the play is that Jordy made a heads-up play and just barely tipped the ball, causing him to miss. I don't call it a drop, I call it a great play by Nelson.

That game was a huuuuge relief for me. I work in a place where there are several Packers fans, and only one Bills fan. I had to give a presentation to everyone later that week, so my Powerpoint slides all used photos from the game as the background. It was a solid game from the defense for certain, and that was the difference, I think. But even then, it still took a Jordy drop and a last-minute defensive strip-sack to save the win. Our offense was unwatchable then.

That's what I'm thinking. Looking more and more like CB at #10. I'd prefer a trade down, or OJ Howard, to be honest.

I'm with you on this. The data show correlation, not causation. There may be many reasons that his success correlated with being under center, not just that "he's better at it".

I'd prefer Andre Smith. Hopefully this doesn't mean he's asking too much.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Webb, Byrd, or Graham back at a reduced salary. Any of those three would make sense. (Probably means none of those will happen.)
