Sounds familiar...

Cordy is a nice chess piece to have. We did well enough without him, so the pressure is not there to keep him. When healthy, he's a solid LT, but we showed we can do just fine without him. The real question is how much value other teams place on a solid LT with health issues. Personally, I think we'd be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for him. Still, that gives McBeane the opportunity to include him as part of a trade-up scenario and still retain a decent set of draft picks.

Keenum won't go anywhere if it's not to be the starter for more than one year. If the Bills land Keenum, it's because they plan on keeping all of their draft picks and building around him.

Yeah, I didn't want to tell you guys about this. You know, being a Bills fan and all...

Fascinating...I'm not sure why I'm that surprised, but I would not have figured so many to believe Mayfield or Rosen should be the first QB picked in the draft.

Interesting...I like Rosen, just didn't expect that many people to pick him over the others if all QBs were available.

I know, it's a tough choice. I've been thinking for so long that there is no chance of getting one of the top 2-3 QBs that I haven't really been thinking of guys like Darnold...

With all of the ammunition we have, there is the real possibility that the Bills could move up in the draft high enough to take just about any QB available. Not saying they will, but the possibility exists. Let's say they do move up. In the hypothetical situation where Cleveland takes Barkley at #1 and the Bills trade with the NYG to move up to #2, all QBs are on the table. If you're Beane, who do you pick? (This is not a poll to say you would stay put at #21 and #22, this is just assuming we move up to pick a QB.)

According to the Buffalo News, after the TT trade and signings of Ivory and Davis, the cap now sits at $32.2 million.

Pretty amazing to think these guys got us in position to draft one of the top QBs, while also retaining enough draft picks to have a decent haul, and also creating enough cap space to be a player in FA. Pretty darn exciting right now.

I think you're on to something there. They may draft a rookie and let Peterman start the season. If they crap the bed, so be it...better draft picks next year, and time to give the keys to the kid.

For a draft pick? Not likely.

Yes! That was an awesome game, especially since it was the first real game back from the strike. The Bills fell behind 21-0 quickly, then fought back and took the lead in the 4th at 31-24. The defense let Marino score on them late in the 4th to tie it, and it went into OT. Norwood hit a short FG to win it in OT. Kelly and Marino both had over 300 yards passing, the Bills had almost 500 yards of offense. Chris Burkett was the star receiver that day, but would never live up to it afterward. It was an incredible, exciting game and gave tons of hope for the future for the Bills. Completely 180-degrees opposite of the week before, in the horrific last strike game.

Man, I remember that game well. Everyone was excited that the strike would be over. But yeah, that was a crappy game. Anyone remember the game after that? The first one back after the strike?

Man, that does suck. Hope he can get through this one.

I think these are good points. Very few of these guys being tossed around as "bridge" QBs actually want (or think they deserve) to be temporary fill-ins until a rookie can replace them. They're going to want to go to a place where they can be the starter for multiple years, if possible. Buffalo is not that place. Watching TT can definitely be painful at times, and he is not the long-term answer by any means, but if you're looking for a bridge QB, it's going to be hard to beat him for all of the reasons Alphadawg states, especially #5.

Moving away from Foles for a minute...I think the best and most enjoyable thing about the Super Bowl is not just that the Pats*** lost, but the manner in which they lost: 1. They lost in dramatic fashion, in much the same way that they beat other teams (give up a late turnover, then a late TD, then falter trying to come back). 2. The possible GOAT head coach is outcoached by a 2nd year head coach. 3. The possible GOAT QB loses to a career backup QB. 4. The possible GOAT QB drops an easy trick play catch that could have gone for a big gain. 5. The career backup QB then catches an easy TD pass on a trick play. 6. The Eagles knock out a key player for the Pats*** early in the game, altering the tone and strategy. 7. The Eagles score two TDs on plays that typically would be reversed by replay against the Pats***. 8. One of those TDs is one that mirrored a similar TD earlier in the year that was reversed, and essentially gave home field advantage to the Pats*** for the playoffs. 9. Their former power RB powered over them in impressive fashion. 10. And, of couse, they lost. Just so many good things there to soak up.
