  1. Yeah, but they were kind of quaint and harmless. Never really needed to pay much attention to them.
  2. Hate 'em. Hate 'em all. I'll admit, like some I didn't really hate the Pats**** with a fury until Brady arrived, mostly because they were never really relevant until then. I also never truly hated the Celtics, but that was because I never paid any attention to basketball until I lived in Chicago during the Jordan era, and by then they were pretty irrelevant too. Now I just hate all of them. I never want any Boston fan to be happy about anything. When did this happen to me?
  3. For the life of me, I can't understand why people are misunderstanding the OP so much. It's not like the OP was saying "the book is closed" as in "we now know everything we need to know to pass judgment on it". The OP was just saying that all of the moves that were made as a result of the trade that sent Mahomes to KC are now completed, so we will know the parameters of the trade in order to pass judgment on whether or not it was a good trade for either team once we know how those players pan out. This is not rocket surgery, folks.
  4. The Eagles lost a LB to a torn ACL earlier today too.
  5. Have to at least put #32 on there.
  6. Can't see Lawson being cut given his age and inexpensive salary. Traded maybe.
  7. Not sure about Paup, but pretty sure Takeo Spikes suffered one. I don't recall if it ended his career, but people are generally not the same after repair. For some positions, it doesn't matter as much. Those who don't have to run much or very fast can maintain careers at this point. So an OL or a pocket QB could, but not so much a WR, RB, CB, or LB, for instance. Tyrod would be screwed if he ever had one. Dan Marino had a pretty bad one, got it repaired, and continued to play for several seasons, but with a noticeable limp. But he was never a runner.
  8. Yeah, we seem to have trouble sticking to 1998.
  9. One might also say something similar about the physical prototype of the modern QB being Allen...
  10. I would think, here on TBD, we can cut a little extra bit of slack for those who wish to post threads mocking anything Pats**** related.
  11. Not in my office! Especially since I’m the only Bills fan.
  12. No, I hate that too many people in my office love the Packers. So if they win, I'll have to put up with a lot of ****.
  13. Probably won't matter much. I think this is not going to be pretty for us. Fingers crossed, though. Far too many Packers fans at my workplace.
  14. It’s about time someone brought that up.
  15. Guys like Shaq (and I would also say Hughes) are talented football players, but not the kind that dominate, change offensive game plans, and open up opportunities for other players. They are more the kind of players that can flourish when there is another dominant player on the line, like a Mario Williams. Hughes can wreak havoc when someone like Mario is drawing attention away from him, and I suspect Shaq could develop into that. But without that other player, they struggle, because they are not at that level. As such, I don't think either one is worthy of a 1st round pick.
  16. Russ was just a "young, low level volunteer." Few people knew him.
  17. I love the threads this time of year that project one of our UDFAs as a steal and a starter.
  18. I liked it overall as well. Not sure you'll get a ton of agreement here, though. What did you think of yours?
  19. Personally, I think this is good. Just trying to stoke a good divisional rivalry. We need more of that.
  20. Gonna love watching this guy play in this defense.
  21. Missed this the first time around. Nice writeup, thanks @metzelaars_lives.
