  1. Honestly, why Hackett would ever call a Bortles pass play in that game was beyond me. If he ran it 100% of the time they likely would have won.
  2. We now have the league's easiest schedule the rest of the way, so it should be interesting to see how we perform...
  3. For some reason I can't help but think if Peterman was on the 49ers he'd be lighting it up.
  4. It isn't just a Fitzy thing... (photo courtesy of the Buffalo News)
  5. I think it's CBS who is begging them not to make this a "Peterman vs. McCown" clown show.
  6. I always knew Bucky was a sharp one.
  7. Sure he does. And it's not because he does not possess an NFL quality arm. He doesn't have the strongest arm, but it's not bad. Can't believe I'm defending him, but understanding the pick 6 against Houston requires a little thought, not just the knee-jerk "bad arm" reaction. The reason Nate threw the pick 6 is because the Texans have a good defensive coordinator who knew exactly what to do against Nate to bait him into throwing that pick-6. Against a young QB, with not a lot of experience, in the pressure of crunch time, you do what the defense did: blitz from one side of the field, expect the young QB to see the blitz and throw short to that side of the field, and have the CB jump the route because you know it's coming. The defense took advantage of Nate's inexperience, not his so-called noodle arm. It's still on him, but it's also on this offense for not being sophisticated enough to deal with simple schemes like that.
  8. ...According to Jim Kubiak of the BN Blitz: Jim Kubiak: Ugly loss distorts Nathan Peterman's solid performance I know it's the BN and many people don't have access, but there it is. Bear in mind that Kubiak "is the all-time leading passer at Navy, has played in the NFL, NFL Europe and the Arena Football League, and been a coach and executive in the AFL," and is analyzing QB play for the Bills this year. Some of the things he had to say: Don't shoot the messenger. I'm no Peterman fan...I thought the decision to run for it instead of tossing the Hail Mary was one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen, and he should have been shown the door at halftime for that. Nevertheless, an objective look at his performance may not have been that bad (I guess).
  9. Love the comments... Elon's MuskJimmyKimmelDidBlackFaceKarlMalone 11/05/18 3:50pm Worked at an amusement park, walked into the bathroom and one perfectly placed turd stuck to the ceiling. No other mess. Legend still lives on to this very day of the “Spiderman *****”.
  10. He's serviceable. However, he did have the "olé" move that allowed the sack/strip of Anderson against the Pats****.
  11. Loving the way this defense is playing, but the question is how we can keep this defense together over time given all of the needs on the offensive side of the ball. Presumably we will get some FA's on offense, but there's still the issue of who we have coming up as FA's on defense at the end of the season: Kyle Williams Lorenzo Alexander Jordan Phillips Phillip Gaines Eddie Yarbrough ...and Ramon Humber and a couple of other CBs. Those are five pretty important players on this defense. Kyle is likely to retire, but he's still playing at a high level. Zo is also up there but playing well. And you have to like what Phillips and Yarbrough bring to the table. Gaines may not be back as CB unless he shows more this year, and if Humber sticks around it will be for backup money. Do people expect that we'll be able to bring those four players back in FA and help maintain this level of defense for several more years? Or do the drastic needs on offense mean that one or more of them won't be back? I know we have a ton of cap space, but I don't have a sense of how much those players would take up. And if we lose Kyle and Zo, how much of an impact would that have?
  12. I love having a great defense...the problem is, there's nothing to say that having a great defense also means you have to have a historically awful offense. With even a below-average offense, this team would win quite a few games.
  13. Holmes did do a great job blocking on this play (along with Dawkins)...
  14. Sweep the leg, Johnny. It’s the only way.
  15. If it means no waiting in lines, that’s cool with me.
  16. Seems like it's going to be a pick. Not sure what round that could be, though.
  17. Just depends on which defense shows up on Sunday. The defense against the Ravens/Chargers or the defense against the Vikings? Who knows.
  18. Ass Team Of The Week: The Vikings Reached Hell In 10 Minutes Hadn't seen this posted yet. Good stuff from Deadspin. ?
  19. Bennett should go up first over Freddie since he's been retired longer. Leon Seals?? Seriously?
  20. I also want to see Allen start, there's nothing Peterman can do at this point to prove he's a starter QB since there's no chance he will throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs. At the same time, I'm apprehensive of Allen starting because if he stinks up the joint in a serious way then I'll have no option but to be depressed.
  21. I wear a Bills lanyard year-round, and it's fairly noticeable since it's bright blue and a team that basically nobody else around here follows. Today someone I know saw it on me for the first time and asked if I started wearing it for football season. I told them if I had any sense football season is when I shouldn't wear it. ?
  22. Have a great day, SDS. Thanks for creating a place where I have been able to get to know so many people without ever meeting them, and it's not at all creepy.
