  1. I'm not worried about Knox. He made some filthy catches last year, he has the hands. I think it's more of a concentration issue. He'll work it out. If he does, he could be special.
  2. One of the things that really puzzles me is the O-line play on the long TD pass to Brown at the end of that video. Obviously we don't know what their pre-snap assignments were, but it just boggles the mind when you see it play out. The end zone view shows it best. We know this is going to be a play-action with the line selling a run to the left side. But if you look pre-snap, Ford is lined right over the DE, and Knox is lined up over two players, a LB and a DB. You can see prior to the snap that Knox is looking inside, like his assignment is the DE over Ford. Ford seems to believe his assignment is the LB lined up over Feliciano. I guess that's okay if the play is designed to pull left, but it's a play-action, not an actual run left, which means the LB and DB over Knox are going to be completely unaccounted for...and it's not like Knox doesn't know this is coming. At the snap, Ford moves left, expecting to engage the LB, but Feliciano is already engaged with him. That leaves Ford to block...nobody? Meanwhile, Knox looks inside, and has no hope of blocking an actual NFL DE...which is of course what happens. At the same time, the LB lined up right over Knox at the snap now has nobody blocking him on a play that is designed to leave the QB's backside wide open. Allen, of course, ends up getting creamed as he lets go of the ball. It obviously all worked out in the end, but that whole play just left me wondering WTF. Yeah, Knox and Ford are two rookies up against one of the best defensive minds in the NFL, but seriously, WTF?
  3. Continuity is key. I think the line did okay for most of the year, the problems (IMO) came primarily when teams blitzed. We'll get better at that.
  4. ? Pretty sure that's our weather guy from Utah, of all places...
  5. Could Cam end up with the Pats****?
  6. And the offense returns everybody with a significant upgrade at WR1 and a full year together in the same system.
  7. Loved him as a Bill, wouldn't mind seeing him back.
  8. Well that certainly makes things interesting! Whole offense coming back, except a major upgrade at WR1. Pick up a solid vet RB behind Singletary, and hopefully Knox develops the way we hope he does.
  9. Holy crap.
  10. Have to think they're happy going into next year with Knox and Kroft as #1/#2, Smith as #3, and Sweeney to continue developing, with the expectation that Knox develops into a true starter. If Sweeney comes along well enough, they can ditch Kroft after this next year.
  11. 50"? What's that, like...a yard and a half? I mean, we basically already have a bunch of guys that can do that. Especially on 3rd and 8.
  12. It's pretty fascinating that I haven't heard much negative about The Athletic since it started. I'm not a subscriber so I don't know, but I find that interesting.
  13. It’s time to retire the Shout song.
  14. I think John Murphy is one of the worst play-by-play announcers out there. He has a poor sense of the moment, and his expressions when the Bills do something great are completely underwhelming.
  15. I thought the Cards GM went on the record to say that he would not be cut...I don't think they want to pick up that dead cap figure...
  16. The 3rd rounder is what makes this so interesting. I'm starting to come around to it as well, though we do have several big contracts coming up soon...
  17. I'm pretty sure if 538 assessed down, distance, yard line, and game situation, and took into account the instant this image was taken, they'd probably give the Bills a 99% chance of winning the game. Ugh.
  18. This was a perfect call at the perfect time with perfect execution...except for that one little detail. I looked at it from the end zone angle, too. Josh has a really good chance of going the distance on that play. Could you imagine if that happened?
  19. I'm just going to leave this here for you all to ponder...
  20. I hate having an odd number of games. Like @May Day 10, I like the even-numbered schedule and the math that goes with it. Not that it matters, though...it's going to be 17 games no matter what, at this point.
