  1. Can anyone remember why we got rid of him? I just recall that he was very good, very reliable, and a cool story. Can't believe it was that long ago...
  2. To each his own. From a football standpoint, it was an amazing game from start to finish. So many exciting, spectacular plays. I was completely, agonizingly drained at the end. It was pure torture that we lost, sure, but it was the best pure game given all that happened.
  3. Hard to argue this one, even though they lost. It was a heartbreaker, but what an amazing game.
  4. Very cool. I met him once in San Diego, I believe. Hope we can help him through this.
  5. Watch "The Replacements" on continuous loop for 6 weeks...
  6. Nice try. Gotta do better than that, John.
  7. Not trying to be a troll, but honest question: what if the stadium/place of employment belongs to the city/county, and not the owner?
  8. I love the Bills logo (of course), but I've always thought the red stripe should be slightly curved (eg, arced) instead of straight.
  9. "Ugh ... the dog days of February." All I could think was, "Ugh...Bill Simmons."
  10. Yeah, but they were kind of quaint and harmless. Never really needed to pay much attention to them.
  11. Hate 'em. Hate 'em all. I'll admit, like some I didn't really hate the Pats**** with a fury until Brady arrived, mostly because they were never really relevant until then. I also never truly hated the Celtics, but that was because I never paid any attention to basketball until I lived in Chicago during the Jordan era, and by then they were pretty irrelevant too. Now I just hate all of them. I never want any Boston fan to be happy about anything. When did this happen to me?
  12. For the life of me, I can't understand why people are misunderstanding the OP so much. It's not like the OP was saying "the book is closed" as in "we now know everything we need to know to pass judgment on it". The OP was just saying that all of the moves that were made as a result of the trade that sent Mahomes to KC are now completed, so we will know the parameters of the trade in order to pass judgment on whether or not it was a good trade for either team once we know how those players pan out. This is not rocket surgery, folks.
  13. Can't see Lawson being cut given his age and inexpensive salary. Traded maybe.
  14. Not sure about Paup, but pretty sure Takeo Spikes suffered one. I don't recall if it ended his career, but people are generally not the same after repair. For some positions, it doesn't matter as much. Those who don't have to run much or very fast can maintain careers at this point. So an OL or a pocket QB could, but not so much a WR, RB, CB, or LB, for instance. Tyrod would be screwed if he ever had one. Dan Marino had a pretty bad one, got it repaired, and continued to play for several seasons, but with a noticeable limp. But he was never a runner.
  15. Yeah, we seem to have trouble sticking to 1998.
  16. One might also say something similar about the physical prototype of the modern QB being Allen...
  17. I would think, here on TBD, we can cut a little extra bit of slack for those who wish to post threads mocking anything Pats**** related.
  18. Not in my office! Especially since I’m the only Bills fan.
  19. No, I hate that too many people in my office love the Packers. So if they win, I'll have to put up with a lot of ****.
