  1. I haven’t gone through the whole thread, but one I don’t see mentioned much is the big turnover at the end of the Houston-Buffalo divisional game on New Year’s Day 1989. This was the first playoff game in Buffalo in years, after the great 1988 season that saw us win the division against the Jets when the goal posts came down. The stadium was electric, and Buffalo controlled most of the game until late in the 4th, when the Oilers scored to pull within 17-10. The Bills had to punt on the next drive at the 2 minute warning, so everybody was on edge, but I believe it was Tasker who stripped the returner and Bentley recovered to basically seal the win. Everyone went completely bonkers, including Bennett on the sidelines. That was an awesome play in Bills history. You can see it at 23:09 of the video below.
  2. I'll take one of those, please.
  3. Well, to be honest, the game did start with the Bills blocking a Dallas punt on the first drive and punching it in for a TD and an early 7-0 lead. That was (briefly) feel-good.
  4. I still think the Bills open against the Jets, not sure which location, but on a Sunday at 1PM.
  5. You keep using that word...I don't think it means what you think it means.
  6. This is much more likely to happen, in my opinion. I would prefer to see them stay at 9 and move back up into round 1 or 2.
  7. I’m just ready to see what happens with the receiving numbers once Allen has more than 1.2 seconds in the “pocket”.
  8. Well, I was hoping this signing would happen on Monday to set the tone for the week, but I’ll settle for Wednesday. I’m psyched for the offensive line for the first time since...well, I can’t even remember since when.
  9. I’m all for spending the money we have in the most important places...OL and DL.
  10. Please make this happen on Monday. Looking for a good start to the week.
  11. I'm just crossing my fingers that this really means we won't draft a CB in round 1.
  12. Even a modest improvement in offensive line play will give Allen the opportunity to show his stuff. If he gets decent protection, I am eager to see what he does with it.
  13. Special teams guy with some history of starts in the past. Would be a good depth pickup.
  14. He's a good player when healthy. Which needs to be more often than it has been.
  15. Wear my big bright Bills lanyard at work every. single. day.
  16. Can't wait to see the board once the draft is over and we've taken 3 CBs, a safety, two RBs, and a late round QB.
  17. Pretty interesting from that article how we've basically obtained an entire offensive line in free agency with two tackles, two guards, and a center. If nothing else, we have plenty of good depth. I hope that we draft a guard and tackle relatively high this year, that would give us very solid depth all across the line.
  18. I still see us drafting a few OL this year, but now we may not have the need to throw them into the fire right away. Train them up and gradually get them on the field.
  19. Damn, that sounds pretty cool. I'd be happy just with the pint glasses.
