  1. Our defense was clearly weakened by the losses of Edmunds and Milano. Those two are essential and we don't have backups that can do what they do. We had no answer to Fitz (Fitz!) and the Dolphins attack, although at least part of that was probably due to heat and exhaustion. Nevertheless, we need those two back badly. Not this week, though. I don't expect to see either of them on the field against the Rams. It's possible Edmunds dresses, but I don't expect to see him play unless needed. Why? - Non-conference game, doesn't mean much (despite old prior threads) - Still in first place even if we lose - Still undefeated in the division and conference even if we lose - Brutal stretch of 5 consecutive AFC games coming up after (Raiders, Titans, Chiefs, Jets, Patriots) - Need them as healthy as possible for those five games, the AFC is at stake Unless they're both near 100%, give them time to rest and heal up. We're gonna need them much more in a couple of weeks.
  2. It's true any year, but this year in particular...whoever gets through the season with the fewest key injuries will be the last one standing.
  3. Fins had a LB spying on Allen all game, so running was less of an option. But the Bills were fine with that, because it left one less person back in coverage, and Allen picked them apart because of it.
  4. Honestly, I have no freaking idea what they were thinking. What the hell is wrong with some of these coaches? You call a run play there, you're more than likely to get the first down and seal the game; even if you don't, you force them to use one of their two remaining time outs. This isn't that hard.
  5. I saw Dawson Knox had a concussion, but I didn't see anything else. Moss left for a bit but returned later in the game.
  6. Mad respect for the guy, but I'll never forgive him for delivering a Super Bowl to the Pats**** with that INT from the 1-yard line.
  7. Lots of running up front to set up some excellent play-actions.
  8. Or nearly every game we've played the last decade against the Patriots****.
  9. Yeah, it's picky, and it was at least a good completion. But then there's the missed Brown TD too. I guess Josh has a couple of those a game...
  10. Not to be too picky, because I think overall he had a really nice game, but that one to Beasley was frustrating. He hits Beasley in stride and it's 6 points, he had the defense split. In the end, we missed the FG on that drive.
  11. I'm just worried about the LB injuries. Any update on those? I missed almost all of them.
  12. Disappointing, but not totally unexpected. They can bring him along slowly, and we have very good DL depth. Plus, he is not a special teams guy, unlike DJ. That's the key difference here.
  13. I had no idea he was still so young. HFBD Scott!
  14. I've said it before as well. I don't know if the Fins will be able to put it together this year to win the division, but they do have a lot of new talent and an easy schedule, so anything is possible. But like you, I amd concerned about what they are putting together for next year and beyond. If Tua pans out, they will be a very tough team to deal with.
  15. That's what you get when you go from an easy schedule to a playoff team schedule. Lots of tough teams instead of bottom dwellers. Many teams on the rise benefit from easy schedules only to see them get exposed by a rough schedule the following year. I don't think we're that, but there are plenty of people who do.
  16. Most of those folks for the Bills are back today, including Kroft, Spain, Brown, and Jefferson.
  17. no kidding...one of the things I most looked forward to every summer...
  18. So actually it's a new contract, with a 4-year extension on the 2 years he still had left.
