The Ford Report - Week 12, Bills v. Saints, 11/25/21
Rubes replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice job, OP. I have had an unnatural disgust whenever I see Ford in the game, but I’ve also wondered if he’s really as bad as I think. This helps, even if it’s not the same assessment as Joe B. He may also just be improving as the season goes on. Who knows, maybe a big part of it for him has been mental. -
GMFB ANGRY RUNS — Gone Wild 😤 a little AM humor

I appreciated it, thanks OP... -
Just remember, we used the pick acquired from the trade of Wyatt Teller to the Browns to get Bass. so when you’re feeling blue about losing Teller…just remember the Bass-o-matic.

Buffalo Bills rooting interests, Week 10
Rubes replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Understood, there is nothing that could get me to root for the Pats**** in any way. But still—if you're thinking about the division title, at this point the main thing is that we can control that by beating them twice. If you're thinking about the division title and conference seeding, you want Cleveland to lose since we can't beat them to get a tiebreaker later on. -
Buffalo Bills rooting interests, Week 10

To be honest, we probably should root for the Pats**** in that game, even though I won't and will never. The reason is that we don't play the Browns this year, but we still play the Pats**** twice. So the more Cleveland wins and gets into playoff position, the more we would have to rely on tiebreakers. We want them to lose whenever possible. At least with the Pats*** we can own the tiebreakers with them by beating them twice. It's not a big thing, really, and it still won't convince me to root for the Pats****, but there's that. -
I kind of said the same thing in the ESPN Rest of Season Predictions thread: I don't know enough to say whether we are a spread offense now, but I haven't had that sense. I can tell you that I watched quite a few plays over again from the Jax game, and what I saw was that Jax played a lot of man-to-man, and in many cases our WRs were doing absolutely nothing to get open. How this group of receivers were getting no separation against those DBs is both puzzling and concerning. I mean, I remember hoping that teams would play man-to-man against us, knowing that we could shred that.

Miami came out and executed a defensive strategy that frustrated the Bills offense for most of the game. They found themselves midway through the second half, but until then it was a struggle. The following week Urban Meyer basically described to the media what the Dolphins did on defense that worked so well, and essentially broadcasted that the Jags were going to basically do the same thing. It was all right out there. And then they did. How did Daboll respond to that, knowing the same thing was coming again? What do you think the Jets are going to do? The Jets may suck overall, but their defensive line is a lot better than the Jags. I watched some of the Jets-Titans game earlier this year and they were destroying the Titans OL. If there is any sign of how the rest of this season is going to go, it's the Jets game. They either figure this out, or they can't.

I miss Wyatt Teller.

Mixed In With Poor Play Luck Has Not Been On Our Side In Losses

I get it, and I think that's a good argument. It also like the "delay of game" penalty when the offense snaps the ball right as the play clock expires. Who's delaying the game now? But yeah, you have to call those, even though it can come across as counterproductive.

I thought teams weren't supposed to blitz him or he'd make them pay big time?

Link to the rest of the interview?

Good explanations, everyone, thanks. I hadn't thought of the concept that #91 is Josh's responsibility, at least not that way, but that makes sense. I also thought Josh would be keying on #91, but in reality he's probably keying on #8 like @patzen says.
-
Yeah, I think you're right...looks like it's part of an RPO to Singletary who could run to his left behind Feliciano. I wasn't sure how #91 was left unblocked, but it looks like a 7-man blitz by Miami to try and overload the blockers. I just can't see Morse getting over to block #91 even if there wasn't a blitz.
-
This is the TD play to Diggs last week. Great throw by Josh, nice pattern and TD by Diggs. But what the heck was the blocking scheme on this play? I still can't figure it out. Left two guys completely unblocked. What were they trying to do?
-
Well said, and I'd also add that I don't think Whaley had quite the same approach to building not just for now but also *for the future*, the way Beane is doing.
-
Can we just talk for a second about how he takes a FG approach on kickoffs and *still* kicks it out of the end zone? This guy is a freak. I saw another kicker last weekend take a full 8-step approach to his kickoff and it barely made it to the goal line.

What’s your favorite surprisingly impressive stat by a Bills player?
Rubes replied to uninja's topic in The Stadium Wall
As long as we’re on Kelsay, he has more interceptions returned for touchdowns than Tre White.
