  1. Whenever I see the name "Maddy Glab" I can't help but think the name is supposed to be an anagram of some secret person's name
  2. Interestingly, the 1991 WFT and the 2000 Ravens both shut out 3 opponents in the first 5 games, not just 2 in the first 4. WFT defeated Detroit (45-0), Phoenix (34-0), and Philly (23-0). Detroit finished 12-4 that year and Philly finished 10-6, so pretty good teams. Phoenix finished 4-12. The Ravens defeated Pittsburgh (16-0), Cincinnati (37-0), and Cleveland (12-0). Pittsburgh was the only one who finished with a winning record at 9-7. Both Cincinnati (4-12) and Cleveland (3-13) were in the basement. FWIW, Baltimore didn't even finish 1st in their division that year; they were the #4 seed at 12-4.
  3. One thing's for sure, there won't be any problem distinguishing the fan reaction at the next home game.
  4. Like most games, but in particular this one, I think it comes down to the trenches. Whichever team can effectively get pressure on the opposing QB while limiting the running game will probably come out the winner. I’m a little nervous about how much pressure our O-line has been allowing. We’ll see if the D-line can hold up against the Chiefs attack.
  5. I’d be a wee concerned if Taron is also unable to play, but we’ll see.
  6. Aha, you are right. I think they gave one of them to Philly.
  7. Sure, of course, but with 2 firsts next year and 2 firsts the year after, that's potentially a lot of draft capital to work with that maybe a lot of others (particularly those in need of a QB) don't have.
  8. Did I hear Cunningham is out this week due to COVID?
  9. Could it be because Miami also has 2 first-rounders in 2023?
  10. Guess we'll find out, since Feliciano is out this week...
  11. The best part of @4merper4mer threads is that they just keep pulling in newbies like a continuously resetting venus fly trap.
  12. That was awesome. Gabe Davis is ***** great. McDermott was hilarious.
  13. I was there with my dad. One of the things my dad hated more than anything was the traffic and battling the crowds leaving the stadium after games, so whenever we went to a game we always had to leave a little early to beat the rush (unless it went down to the finish, which back then in the 70s and 80s it rarely did). That game, when it came down to the end and the Jets were about to kick the game-winning FG, my dad made us get up and start walking up the stairs from the lower bowl so we could get out of there fast. I made him stop at the top of the steps so we could watch the kick, and...boom. Smerlas saved the day. So of course, I made him walk back down to the seats so we could sit back down and watch the rest. I remember saying to the people around us, "We're back!" Good times.
  14. Well, technically he didn’t say “starting for the Bills…”
  15. We played nickel defense 100% of the time against WFT. Good point, there. I'm still nervous to see how this defense holds up against a strong running team like TEN, CLE, even KC. We'll see.
  16. It's been a while since one of these gems from @4merper4mer. Just love watching all the folks unfamiliar with him take the bait.
  17. I know this is a thread about Zack, but since I already brought up Ford, there's this one, too...
  18. Wasn't a great look for Cody Ford on that play, but...TD anyways!
  19. Takes some teams a little longer to get used to new players. I'll bet the Colts and Patriots will be better as the year goes on.
  20. I know, it's way too early, but it's still fun.
  21. Overall, I thought the defense played well. I was hoping we would get to the QB a bit more than we did, more like previous weeks. I'm not a stat hound looking only for sacks, and Heinecke was forced to move around a lot, which is good. That said, McDermott seems to agree...
