Just about to say the same thing. Once JA started to use Singletary more on short throws later in the season the offense really started humming. I am psyched to see how they use the backs this season, especially Cook. That could really cause headaches for defensive coordinators.

I know, I just meant that one game is a pretty small sample size. I've read elsewhere that Bates wasn't playing quite so awesome in other appearances.

Be nice if he showed film of Bates from more than one game.

There's just no reason for it anymore. In the past, it was an honor to be selected, and it was a way to showcase the best players at each position going against each other. It was also a way to earn extra money for the players. It's no longer an honor to be selected. It's not a way to showcase the best players, because the best players aren't there and they don't want to go all out against each other. And who can blame them? And as far as money, the best players make so much that whatever they'd get from the Pro Bowl is tiny in comparison. So the whole premise of the Pro Bowl is gone. The NFL seems to want it to be an entertainment event, but entertaining for who? Not for the players, just for the fans. Why would the players want to do any of the alternative things mentioned here? If they want to continue some sort of entertaining event before the Super Bowl, it has to be torn down and completely redesigned.

Love how people try to cover up poor sportsmanship by saying the person “just hates to lose,” as though that’s a good quality to have.

Probably won’t happen, but would be really interesting to see Baker in Philly.

Nothing keeping them from being released, and it’s the same lawyer for all 22 defendants, so…I wouldn't be surprised to see a gradual release of them over time…

Not anger, but I still occasionally feel a pit in my stomach when it pops into my head. Mostly after thinking about how incredibly elated I was when JA scored that last TD to Gabe. I feel like it was in the top 3 chances for us to win a Super Bowl and we blew it. I have, however, watched the highlights. Not the full game, but the highlights. I freaking love watching JA highlights, and there were so many good ones in that game.

I remember that game well. I was a junior in college...didn't go to that game, but I remember watching it on TV.

I don't get it...does everybody think Milano is undersized? Seems like he is well-sized for his position and for what he's asked to do.

Nice summary, OP. A good review of what to watch during training camp. Interesting to think about what might happen with Moss. I think Beane has faith in him and is looking for him to rebound this year. But if he looks sharp in training camp and preseason, could we see Beane move him for a future pick to a team that gets snagged by the injury bug?
