  1. Dude, you don't watch enough football
  2. Before everybody blows Brady, I will say this: he looked pretty damn good up until crunch time, and then he (yes, Brady, not Manning) did almost everything he could to give that game away. The pick down the middle of the field (maybe not his fault, but still), the sack/fumble (at a time when the last thing he wanted to do was take a sack WITH a fumble...lucky f'in Patriots they had someone right there to recover), and then another 3rd down pass that should have been an easy pick, in his own end of the field, with under two minutes left. Say what you want about Manning, but Brady did a great job putting his team in command to win the game, and then almost singlehandedly blew it.
  3. Just keep that in mind next time you see Drew patting the ball
  4. Well, I think you're right about the last statement. It all depends on how much Jennings wants to stay in Buffalo, and if he's willing to take something less than top dollar for a LT. Somehow I doubt he will want to stay, but what do I know. I would like to see Jennings stay, but that would almost certainly mean Phat Pat is gone. On the other hand, if Jennings goes, we may be able to keep Phat Pat if he's willing to work with TD on the money issue. As for Peters, I just don't know if the kid can make the transition to a tackle. He might, but then all we would likely have is, at best, an average backup tackle. I can't see him excelling so much at tackle that he could become a starter, could you? On the other hand, if he really works hard at the TE spot, and he somehow figures it out, he could become a real force at that position. A guy his size who can move the way he does, block well, and catch the ball? Now that's a TE I'd like to see starting.
  5. Actually, almost none of them do, since contracts are not guaranteed. Most are reworked well before the contract is up, or the player is cut long before they get all the money.
  6. There are so many different registration sites like this...are there any real significant differences?
  7. I've never done this before...I want to register a domain name for a small web site I'm making for someone, but I just wanted to be sure the best way of doing that. It seems more complicated than it really is.
  8. Back when I was at Cornell in the 80s they had a similar thing called "Ask Uncle Ezra" (referring to Ezra Cornell). It was actually a group of people that would do their best to answer just about any question any student had for them, and yes it was free. I worked with them for a semester, and they did have some weird questions. I think one that I worked on was "why do squirrels have bushy tails?" Don't ask, I have no recollection of the answer. I think it has something to do with balance. It was pretty cool, though. They had a lot of silly questions and a lot of serious ones, and people reallly took to it. It was fun.
  9. So the Dolphins have given away their 2nd and 3rd round picks in next year's draft for a backup QB and a RB who may or may not start for them? Sounds good to me.
  10. Don't forget to put a few plugs in for TBD!
  11. Maybe that should tell you something....
  12. Wow...I'm not one to prod the bear, so to speak, but that was something else.
  13. What's the "Eagle's loophole" again? Nice work, by the way. Looks to me like we will be seeing the last of Phat Pat this season...
  14. Outstanding!!!
  15. Yeah...how about the reverse logic if the Bills start out 0-2? Something tells me I just won't be seeing "16-game season" talk here....
  16. Ah, my bad...I was looking at the BB.com depth chart and it just showed McFarland as the backup LT...forgot about Price, who was listed on the right side. Whew. I can't keep track of who is on this team anymore.
  17. Granted, someone actually beating out Sullivan for a spot on the team is not much of a surprise, but McFarland is now the guy backing up Jennings? It's not a question of if, but rather when, Jennings will miss time with another injury. The thought of a rookie stepping in to protect Bledsoe's backside does not fill me with confidence. I didn't see or hear much of McFarland this preseason, but...
  18. Amen to that...still can't find decent wings, pizza, subs, or hot dogs anywhere in these parts....
  19. Uh, if that's the case, then why is he no longer on the roster?
  20. Yeah, they stay out of the way of humans for the most part. But this one was hanging out in the yard hose. The bites can be painful, but pretty much the only people who die from the bite are those who are hypersensitive to the venom, which is rare.
  21. Wife called me over, freaked out by a large black spider she almost touched...looked suspicious, so I prodded it a bit with a stick and got it to flip over... Here's what I saw Damn, that'll make me think twice next time I do yardwork...
  22. You do and you'll be giving up all of those free Viagra samples, buddy....
  23. size...not very large, in fact....probably in the 20's. Why LCD? I've been vacillating between LCD and plasma, and although I like the LCD image better, I may end up going with plasma. Size is a highly important issue...need a thin, relatively small (not huge) screen.
  24. I'm looking into getting one this weekend, but I was wondering if any folks out there have some experience they wish to share...one question I have is, do LCD TVs have the same potential problems with stuck or broken pixels as LCD computer monitors, and if so, how do companies deal with this? I'd hate to drop a load on a slick LCD TV only to find a couple of brightly stuck pixels.
