  1. This is kinda freaky...I started this thread, but my original post is down near the end of all the replies?
  2. belinda better yet...perhaps we should all belinda this whole topic
  3. I know, I'm just bustin yer chops.
  4. Good point...at least with Milloy in there we will give the illusion that we're not soft in the deep middle....
  5. What about Bernard Ford? At least that guy has some speed.
  6. Awesome comment. Absolutely awesome.
  7. I get it. I try to stay away from the baseball threads. Good luck with that, although you do win the award for best bear-prodder.
  8. Too much showboating? Am I missing sarcasm or something? Aside from the embarrassing pass-in-the-back against the Jets, Shaw has been one of our more consistent receivers. The guy made clutch 3rd down catches last year. But showboating? I don't recall him ever showboating, much less showboating too much. This year, he seems to be the odd man out. Reed and Aiken seem to be battling for 3rd WR time, which means Shaw may be moving down to the 5th spot. My guess is that Shaw expressed frustration with this, and perhaps coupled with his comments to the media, that may have been TD's cue to give the guy a shot with someone else.
  9. BF, I think you're the only person I know who quotes himself in his signature. Are you paying yourself a compliment?
  10. I'm still going to argue that last week's 4th down call against New England was perhaps worse than the Music City Mistake or Wide Right. Perhaps not in importance, that goes without saying. But consider this: Not only was the 4th down play a masterpiece of poor execution, but the whole concept of calling the play in the first place is pure, unfiltered insanity. A naked bootleg with a quarterback who is renowned for his inability to run or evade tacklers? On fourth down and three with the game (and perhaps the season) on the line? Against perhaps one of the most disciplined and prepared defenses in the league? With an offense that was clearly not prepared well to run the play? After calling a timeout to think about the best possible play that absolutely must succeed against the reigning World Champs? When it is clear they are going to blitz the crap out of your immobile QB? It may not have been the worst play in Bills history, but I'm betting it's probably the worst play call. And the execution of that play keeps reminding me of the scene from "Stripes" when John Larroquette turns to see his unit rambling down the training course like a bunch of crazed lunatics.
  11. Don't forget the face mask penalty called against Bruce when all he did was grab the guy's jersey...
  12. Not that I don't relish the misery that these two teams are currently experiencing, but it's rather eerie how easily you could substitute Buffalo for either of these two teams in their stories: Parcells on Dallas' woes Gibbs on 'Skins worst offensive showing in 43 years Neither of these guys has any answers for their teams' pathetic performances, mistakes, and penalties either.
  13. That play was so painfully bad on so many different levels it almost defies belief.
  14. Don't worry, it'll pass. Like a bad case of diarrhea.
  15. This Q&A thing really is priceless sometimes. I'm sure they thought it was a great idea at the beginning, a way to gets fans a little more involved. Now that they're 0-4 I bet they're realizing what a mess it will become if things don't turn around soon. It's actually something to look forward to after a loss.
  16. I saw it, too, and got a good chuckle out of it.
  17. Teen found alive after 8 days Kid Rosened her car, but survived the impact. However, wasn't found for another 8 days, all without food or water and with serious injuries. A woman with visions apparently knew where to look for her.
  18. Personally, I think the Bills should petition the league to allow them an extra offensive player on the field. Really, it's just for safety's sake.
  19. But our offense is not averaging 12.75 points per game, the team is. The offense is averaging a nice even 11 points per game! As I said elsewhere, we only need 16 against Miami to raise that to 12.....
  20. Oh drat. Forgot about that one....thanks. I don't catch the Simoncast at all out here, so I'm not too up on the "Plus-Minus" thing....
  21. 1. Our offense has now officially raised its per-game scoring from 10 points per game to 11! We only need to score 16 against Miami to raise it to 12! 2. We went almost an entire game without a turnover! 3. We reduced the number of sacks Drew took this week. Yes, reduced. In fact, this was the fewest number of sacks against us since early September! 4. Drew was as close as he's been to passing for more than 200 yards in a game in a long time! 5. We didn't have a single offensive holding penalty against the line the entire game. Except for that one on Dorenbos on the punt. Oh well. 6. We were +1 on the turnover differential! Plus, we had more touchdowns than New York! 7. We now know that our third string strong safety is every bit as good as our injured second stringer! 8. We now know that our backup center can snap the ball every bit as good as our injured starter! I'm sure there's more there somewhere, but I just can't go on.......
  22. We played a decent game...in the fourth quarter. The other three were basically putrid. One of the big problems in this game was our complete inability to cover the Jets receivers, combined with a relatively anemic pass rush. It looked like easy pickins for Pennington.
  23. No kidding...Deion made a mockery of the "new contact rules". Unbelievable.
  24. Not necessarily. Everybody heals differently. The MM crap at the beginning of the season was probably nothing more than a smoke screen so opponents wouldn't necessarily know what's coming.
