  1. I was thinking about this earlier but never posted it... When Drew threw that first INT against the Pats I didn't think too much of it at first. It looked as though he was throwing it under pressure, got a little air under it, and the defender made a great catch. The ball was deep in their end, so yeah, it was like a punt in that respect. An unfortunate turn of events, for sure, but not necessarily another complete Drew brain malfunction. But then ESPN showed a great camera angle that really told the true story. It was the camera they had hanging down over the field, behind Drew. Drew started off looking to his left; Moulds was not his first (or maybe even second) receiver. When Drew saw nothing open to the left, he turned to look right. Of course, now the pass rush is starting to get close. I'm not sure what exactly was going on in his head (insert rude joke here), but my guess is that he decided to throw it to Moulds long before anything he saw with his eyes could register in his head. What he should have seen is Moulds double covered. And not just double covered, but double covered and breaking toward the middle. Drew planted and chucked the ball, and you could tell from the camera shot that he threw it way too far and way off target, over his head and behind him, without leading him toward the middle of the field. Moulds never had a shot at it. That camera shot told me this: that throw was nothing but pure panic. I've had enough.
  2. Have you ever thought you were in a room full of people you were talking to, but when you looked up everybody had left?
  3. I think what's really getting most of us here is the fact that MM thought it was okay to put JP into the game on Sunday for the last few minutes, but he then came out to say he's not yet ready to start a game. So tell me, why is it okay for him to play against the world champs, in a complete rout, when the defense has been pummelling the offense into submission? He's not yet recovered completely from his injury, yet it's okay to stick him in there in obvious passing situations, when the defense has their ears pinned back and are rushing the QB like mad dogs? And now he comes out and says he's not ready to start the following week? I'm not sure of his reasons, but it sure sounds like he's intimating that he's not ready from a physical standpoint. Really? If he's not ready physically to start a game, how is it okay to subject him to a potential beating for the last few minutes of a rout? Personally, I think JP has been out for so long, that he's just not ready yet mentally. MM probably wants him to get a couple of complete weeks of full practice in before throwing him to the wolves this year. We all know TD and MM are not as completely stupid as it seems (by keeping Drew in there when he is obviously done), much as we would like to believe that. But I'm betting that they just don't think he's ready to take the starting spot for a full game until he has had another week or two of full practices. It would be nice if MM would just come out and say "You guys are right, Drew is a babbling idiot out there but we'll throw him back in for one more game while JP gets ready to take things over," but he's not going to say that. That's what I'm thinking, at least.
  4. Well, you'd at least think that he'd be able to remember THAT by now without having it written down for him, given how many times he's been repeating it this year....
  5. Mularkey sure seems indifferent to the way things turned out.....
  6. And how exactly do you know that it was "playing them too early" that caused their demise? Perhaps they would have been just as awful if they had waited on the sidelines for another year or two?
  7. Like that would have made a difference?
  8. A lot of folks in the chat room at that time disagreed with me, but I said the same thing. They were moving the ball well to that point. They were 3-5 with only a shred of hope left for the playoffs. They're on the road against the champs. No balls.
  9. You're right...it's been so much fun watching Drew regress to become the biggest joke of a quarterback, why stop now?
  10. I think, given the disaster that is this football season, the Jills should fire all the cheerleaders and bring in a bunch like they did in "The Replacements." That should keep the stands full the rest of the season.
  11. PLAYOFFS???!?!?
  12. Actually, you might view the punting unit as one of our biggest problems last night. Because Moorman was punting the ball so far, the Pats ended up having to move the football that much further to get to the end zone. All that did was give the Pats a huge edge in time of possession. Had Moorman shanked a few, the Pats would have had a much shorter field, and we would have gotten the ball back a lot faster.
  13. You're going that fast, in traffic, with little shoulder, and you're wearing an iPod? And you think your biggest problem is the dog?
  14. Oh man, those "Ask MM" and "Ask TD" articles were just painful to read. Why do they even bother with them anymore? I think politicians give more insightful answers to questions that either of these guys.
  15. I don't care what anybody says...that INT to Troy Brown was the ultimate insult, not to mention an absolutely horrible throw. I'll say it right now, I never want to see that guy play another down for us again. I'm horrified to even think about it.
  16. It's only the second time ever, apparently.
  17. All I have to say is.... GO UTES!!!!!!
  18. Somehow I knew everyone here would be creaming in their pants when they heard about Peters....
  19. Just go to Yahoo.com
  20. At last, all of life's questions answered.....and I have TSW to thank
  21. Great. As long as we're at it, what the hell is cowbell?
  22. This one was awesome: Is that what they call subtle humor?
  23. Absolutely....though you also have to wonder if Big Sam's tirade on the sideline might have something to do with it as well... Here's hoping Gray isn't yet another DC who falls prey to that bastard Charlie Weis...
  24. I don't know that he necessarily needs 150 yards per se, what we really need is to keep running him without getting cute, and getting first downs. That's the most important thing; let Willis get his 3-4 yards on first and second down, and then do whatever it takes to convert the first down. If we can do that, particularly in the first half, it will help tremendously. That's what allows us to wear defenses down in the second half. If Willis and the team can do that and gain only 100 yards, that should still be fine. What I'd really like to see, though, is Willis break a long one.
