  1. That's pretty cool. A good trivia thing to know.
  2. No!!!!!! Ah well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Urban has an out clause in his contract for ND and it's the place he really wants to coach more than any other. The guy did an incredible job with our Utes this year. We'll miss him.
  3. Crap, I always thought that quote was from Khan.
  4. poop on a stick....I love it!
  5. True, although technically speaking I said "Thurman, or any other running back" in reference to any running back other than McGahee. But it's a good point since McGahee did happen to flatten the guy.
  6. The Sam Adams quote from Sullivan's "I'm Grumpy 'Cause I Can't Be Negative" column is just classic. I just think this, and everything we're hearing from the players, is really good news for us. Maybe not this season, but certainly for next year and beyond. I think everyone on the team is beginning to realize that Mularkey really does have a clue, they're starting to believe in him as a coach. Hell, I'm believing in him as a coach, but if he's getting the attention and respect of this team, that only means good things in the future. Guys will want to stick around this team. And next year, from the start of the season in Week 1, we'll have a team full of guys that know what they're supposed to do and believe in it. Me likey.
  7. That post rocked. Hopefully, it will come in handy later on.
  8. I can't recall Thurman, or any other running back of ours, ever stiff-arming a defender with such power and success as McGahee did yesterday on his way to the end zone. Too bad he went out of bounds at the one; that was ESPN highlight material if he made it in. He is one big, powerful dude.
  9. Hey, I thought I heard you were banned?!
  10. Can't really argue with you on this, but then again...in the NFL, a mediocre team is a dangerous team. Beating a mediocre team is a good thing, as you say, but manhandling a mediocre team on the road is something more significant. If we had throttled Seattle like this with the game in Buffalo, I'd be happy. Doing it in Seattle is another ball of wax.
  11. True, but don't forget that Spikes was covering the guy as well and had his back to the play the whole time. Never knew the ball was coming.
  12. Oh, my poor poor brother-in-law. He can't be too happy about this.
  13. Nope, that was the saddest.
  14. We'd be lucky at this point to even get a 3rd. I'm thinking he will bring us a 4th at best.
  15. Now that could be the funniest thing I've read all year.
  16. CONGRATS!!! I'm curious as to the wife's illness you were speaking of, but that's probably too much for TSW...
  17. Damn straight, AD. GO UTES!!!
  18. Anything with Colin Farrel in it will suck. Angelina Jolie could have made me go see it, but then I heard her fake accent on the preview. That one had "sucks" written all over it the first time I saw the preview.
  19. Sorry man, that was me.
  20. I don't know about Bledsoe, but if I see one more punt from the other teams' 34 yard line, I think I'll vomit into an envelope and send it to Mularkey.
  21. I think one of these threads talking about ICE pops up every couple of months. Great. The guy does a great job getting attention all by himself, and now we go and do it ourselves on top of that.
  22. Dude, why bother. The American people live their entire lives buying themselves into huge debt. Why should the government hold themselves to any higher standard? Because they're Republicans? All campaign, Bush ridiculed Kerry with the line, "Where is he going to get the money to pay for all that?" I guess most folks were too busy guffawing and poking fun at Kerry to realize Bush was actually referring to himself. Not that Kerry would have been any better in that regard, of course.
  23. Tell that to Flutie
  24. I don't have TiVo, but I thought one of the big selling points is that you could easily skip over commercials. Apparently that was just a ploy to get people to buy TiVos, so they could spring this little gem: TiVo gettin' all comfy-like with advertisers Perhaps the thing most unsettling is that they know what you're watching, every second...
  25. Damn these polls, do you really have to pick one?
