  1. It's all possible, and I would love to see that. However, I'm still pulling for NE to beat the Jets. If that happens, then we just need to see the Jets tank on the road against St. Louis for us to have a shot to move ahead of them as well.
  2. The only guy who should be forced to take a cheap shot to the head is Del Rio for chuckling it up on the sidelines afterward.
  3. Don't count Oakland out just yet. They have a lousy record but if you noticed, they played with some real fire against Tenny. Tennessee doesn't have a great record either, but they have been playing lights out lately, so that Oakland win, to me, was impressive. That last JAX game is on the road in Oakland. You just gotta believe!!!
  4. My favorite moment was the brief second after Peters blocked that punt. The thing about that play, it wasn't perfectly visible (at least from where I was sitting in a crowded bar), but I was certain that I saw it blocked. My instantaneous reaction was to shout "Oh yeah!!" really loud, but nobody else I was watching with saw it. So for an instant afterward, I had that moment of uncertainty where I wasn't completely sure I saw what I just saw, because nobody else was cheering. I thought for an instant that I might look like an idiot for cheering about nothing. Particularly since there was a table full of Bengals fans sitting right near us.
  5. I was wearing my Spikes jersey and everybody was congratulating me. Personally, I took a lot of pride in that play. :-)
  6. But what about the space-time continuum? Hasn't anybody thought about the frigging space-time continuum? I mean, come on people.
  7. Houston has been playing very well lately, and Oakland, for some completely unknown reason, is actually looking like a decent team and is playing with some fire. That final game for JAX on the road against Oakland should be a good one.
  8. Good grief, is someone going to start a thread like this every time we beat somebody?
  9. The Jets don't have to "collapse", so to speak. They play New England next, so a loss there would not be a big surprise. If the Bills win next week at San Fran, then Week 17 should be a blast. The Jets would have huge pressure on them to get a win to make the playoffs, while the Bills would need to beat Pittsburgh (obviously). The Jets would be playing at St. Louis, which is not great news, but a desperate Rams team might surprise us.
  10. That's pretty much what I would expect. I'm okay, so everything must be okay. Or better yet, I'm okay so who cares about anyone else?
  11. I swear, with those last two brain-dead turnovers, if I didn't know any better I'd swear Favre is trying to lose this on purpose.
  12. There are no bigger homers than the Chicago radio announcers. That goes for football and basketball. Particularly with football, they have 2 color guys and they both are yelling the whole broadcast. At least, that's how it was a few years ago when I still lived there.
  13. Someone asked this exact same question yesterday on ESPN radio.
  14. ...I can't get "Star Wars" out of my head?
  15. I still crack a grin when I see Hogboy
  16. This is essentially what I implied by "the rest follows."
  17. Just like they keys to any game we play. Drew. He need to play it close to the vest, make the throws when he needs to, avoid patting the ball, and avoid the interceptions. Turnovers. We need to force a few and avoid giving them away. That's really it for me. The rest follows.
  18. True, although I wouldn't be too confident. Fontenot may be 38 and not in his physical prime but he still weighs 300 and knows the center position well. Phat Pat may be licking his chops, but personally I expect to see more from Sam Adams. That guy has been playing out of his mind lately and I think it will get better the closer we get to the playoffs. Methinks Jerry Gray responded to Sam's temper tantrum by allowing him to use his skills more to attack than to tie up blockers.
  19. Now there is someone a little too jacked up for this weekend.
  20. mmmmmm.....pasty white girls
  21. And I, for one, am incredibly elated by that.
  22. That just tells me that the guy knows a tasty piece of meat when he sees one.
  23. I still can't figure out what's so bad about this story.
  24. Colin brings up some decent points once in a while, but they're few and far between. The thing I really can't stand about him is that, when he wants to make a point, he just basically repeats the same phrase over and over again. Once he gets to the third iteration, I'm basically forced to switch to NPR.
  25. 'the quarterback'....yeah, what was his name again?
