  1. Oh God no. I hate them all. The Jets, Dolphins, and especially Pats can all crash and burn and I'd be the happiest guy around.
  2. It's killing me. How can we have such a good defense all year, but when everything is on the line, at home with a screaming crowd against a bunch of second and third stringers, they allow that killer drive? I'm hearing things like, our defense really wasn't that good, or Pittsburgh is a really deep team and their backups are top quality, etc etc etc. This just isn't doing it for me. I still think our defense is very good, certainly good enough to stop Pittsburgh's backups at home with so much for us to play for and so little for them to do so. And I don't care how deep they may be, they're still second, third, even fourth stringers, and our defense certainly has the talent and skill to match up with that. Is it like the Jacksonville game? The defense played a great game against JAX, but had an incredible string of bad plays on that final drive. Is that what happened on the long 4th quarter drive? This is just killing me. How did it happen? How did the defense disappear for the majority of the fourth quarter when we needed them the most?
  3. Plus we'd have a first round pick next year, too.
  4. Just wondering what you all think of having snow tires for the winter. I've heard plenty of arguments both ways. Most seem to think that the average all-weather radial tire is plenty good for the winter, particularly for those with 4WD, but some disagree. What about in areas where the snowfall is pretty heavy? What about FWD vehicles?
  5. Well, of course you give her a tip, but only if you think she was pretty good at....wait, never mind
  6. You're right. The defense should be at fault for the 7 given up by the Bledsoe sack/fumble and the FG from the Clements turnover.
  7. It's the reason TBD is one of the first things I do in the morning and one of the last before I hit the hay.
  8. Even better for us Bills fans living in Utah!
  9. That's right baby....GO UTES!
  10. Yes, but if we win and the Jets lose, then we are both 10-6 with us getting the tiebreaker. So Indy goes into their game with two possibilities: they tank it against Denver and Denver wins, making us the #6 seed, and Indy then has to play us (BAD for them), or they try to beat Denver and win, meaning Denver is out, but Buffalo now has the #5 seed, meaning they play the Jets (good for them). Should be interesting. I sure as hell hope to be watching that one play out.
  11. Well, it all comes down to two things: 1. Do you have anything to lose? 2. If so, how bad would you feel if you lost it? If you don't have anything to lose (ie, no real assets), then there's not much reason for a pre-nup. So if we assume the answer to #1 is yes, then it all comes down to the answer to #2. It may sound cynical, but anyone who doesn't believe in pre-nups because of the of the trust thing, or the sanctity of marriage thing, or whatever, is just being naive. You can go ahead and be naive if you want and take your chances, and maybe you'll get lucky. But if there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that you never really know someone as well as you think. And far too many times I've seen that come back to bite someone in the ass.
  12. Strange, that sounds like code for something else... Nah, just me
  13. Nice story, thanks... ...also, good to hear you're as stoked for this weekend as all of us are, given that we're probably playing against the Steeler scrubs...
  14. Good grief. Has a six-game winning streak completely removed all memory of the frustrating failed trick plays we tried early in the season?
  15. Two words: Mark Weiler
  16. The game is never on in my area. Do like the rest of us and go to a bar that shows all the games.
  17. Not to mention Jacksonville tanking at home against Houston when everything was on the line.
  18. That, right there, is one outstanding post. That'll keep me going through the week!
  19. Unfortunately that, right there, is the key. No, this game doesn't mean much to the Colts, but under any other circumstance I would still think Indy would play to win. However, things are different since, if Denver and NY both win, Indy will play Denver again the following week in the playoffs. Now, if you were Dungy, would you rather play the pathetic Broncos, or the red-hot Bills, in the playoffs? If the answer is the Broncos, then the right move is to play very vanilla and let Denver win. The Jets, in all likelihood, will win as well, which means you then get to play Denver at home in the first round. Even if the Jets lose and the Bills win, that just means they get to play the Bills, which is unfortunate for them, but at least they tried.
  20. Someone ask for a prescription?
  21. I'd trade all the Patsy trolls around here, that's for sure.
  22. Isn't there some way we could just get the whole playoff scenario thing stickied at the top so it's not answered every other day?
  23. TO is definitely toast. The Super Bowl is 7 weeks from the date of his injury. No way can he come back from a broken fibula and a bad ankle in 7 weeks. He certainly can't come back with time to practice enough to get into game shape.
  24. I have the 51-3 game on VCR, and I can probably convert it to DVD if people are interested.
  25. I think the exclamation points at the end of every sentence pretty much says it all.
