  1. I wish I made that much.
  2. Bledsoe absolutely had no touch on the short passes, I've always felt that way. But those stats are, as pointed out, fairly meaningless. Our failure to execute a real screen pass stemmed from two things: Bledsoe's inability to throw the short touch pass, and the entire offense's inability to set one up. I'm not sure where the breakdown always was, but it sure seemed like every time we tried to execute a screen pass, the defense was all over it. The debacle in Baltimore is a good example. Bledsoe's throw sucked, but it was compounded by the fact that the entire Baltimore defense knew it was coming and was in position to make that play.
  3. So would this come before or after the daily "Democrats are retarded" post?
  4. I'm trying...I'm just having a tough time hitting the "play" button on the VCR...
  5. Personally, I think it was all about his inability to throw a screen pass in the vicinity of the receiver.
  6. Mike Pucillo. Oh wait, you mean a fan favorite in a good way?
  7. Do player stats decline as they get older, too?
  8. Crap, you're right. I was misreading your post. We were just timing things differently...
  9. Somewhere out there FFS is laughing at you.
  10. Since when do plastic cups wear clothing? And I thought your home IS the bar?
  11. MORE SPOILERS below. 1. I also found that the lightbulb is unnecessary to the solution. 2. Keep the window below the catapult closed. 3. I didn't need a fourth stick figure. Once the "door" is opened at the bottom by the guy using the blue projectile, clicking him will cause the killer animal to drop out of the box. If you open the window underneath the catapult at the right moment, the figure inside will appear and slam the window shut, which will cause the white ceiling at the bottom to fall. If you time it right, it will fall on the killer animal, allowing the figure at the bottom to enter the abode and light the torch.
  12. Wow. Never played it myself, but it sounds like a real kick.
  13. At least he didn't throw a crapper to Troy Frigging Brown.
  14. You can lose teams in this game?
  15. Cool. Wonder where that is? Maybe I played there.
  16. Not to mention the crappy teams we were playing.
  17. Huh. I always thought the "gay" avalanche was reserved for the QBs of other teams that keep beating us. Or the ones that cry.
  18. No, of course I'm not about to say the Eagles have any interest in getting Drew... But this whole situation with Drew is now reminding me of a discussion I heard on ESPN Radio right after the AFC-NFC Championship Games. I think it was the Herd. Something along the lines of this: You know what this two-week gap between the Championship games and the Super Bowl is going to do? It's going to get people to start thinking that Philadelphia somehow has a chance of winning this game. Right now, we all know that's just not going to happen, I don't care what you think the final score is going to be. But the longer we sit around waiting for the game, the more people are going to start changing their minds, thinking things like "you know, if they play a great game, and if one or two things bounce their way, maybe they have a chance" and that's just ridiculous. Well I promise you I won't fall into that trap! Thinking back, I think he was right. The more down time there was, the more people started coming up with ways that Philly might actually win that game. True, in the end they did come close, but let's be honest, there's no way they were gonna beat the Pats. Their complete lack of competence at the end of that game proved that to me. So that got me thinking about Drew Bledsoe. After that Sunday night New England game, I knew I had had enough of Drew Bledsoe. Granted, that game was not entirely his fault, but given everything that had happened during the season to that point (and the previous year), I knew then that Drew would never be the big-game QB to win us a Super Bowl, I don't care who we put around him. The winning streak? That did nothing to convince me of anything other than how much better we could have been with somebody else under center. The Pittsburgh game was a bitter disappointment, and again, although it wasn't all Drew's fault, that really put the nail in the coffin for me. But it got me thinking that this year's winning streak, and particularly this offseason, is kind of like that two-week period between the Championship Games and the Super Bowl. All this down time is just going to get everyone thinking about him just like the Eagles. Maybe the Eagles really can beat the Pats. Maybe Drew really can lead us to the promised land. Maybe we were too hard on him this season, after all it wasn't all his fault. Maybe if we just made the right moves this off season he can come back and, with some luck, get the job done for us. I refuse to fall into that trap.
  19. I think the real question is, why aren't we allowed to even talk about this?
  20. Holy crap, what a coincidence. See my post.
  21. I dropped by BB.com's message board this morning to look around while trying unsuccessfully to renew my season's on the web site. Saw our old Waller there, brought back some fine memories. Ah, those were the days. Carry on.
  22. That was about as un-scientific as you can get. But, in other news, I also made lobster tails for me and the wife last night for Valentine's Day. Oh, man!
  23. Well, we should find out soon enough if JP has what it takes to win in the NFL. There's no question that, if JP is the starter next season, we will be a run-first offense. This will take no opposing defense by surprise. I expect most defenses to stack up strong against the run to take Willis out of the game, and to put everything on JP's shoulders. If you were a defensive coordinator, wouldn't you do this? Your best chance of winning is to single out the least experienced player on the offense and make him take chances. The thought of JP going up against the Pats next season does not give me tingles. Neither does Drew, for that matter.
  24. It's an interesting cause. I remember a while back, though, when SETI@Home was the big thing in idle CPU use, there was some backlash because more and more people began leaving their computers on when not in use, just so it could do this. Something about a waste of electricity...
  25. Correct, but just another team with a rookie QB who didn't make the playoffs.
