  1. You're forgetting something.... The week before that, in the AFC Championship Game (51-3), Norwood attemped a 48-yarder from the turf. Missed wide right. Same exact trajectory. It was eery going back and seeing that.
  2. I'm sure his initial response was, "I swear, it's not mine!" Said, of course, with his best British accent.
  3. Yes, but where does that put me....?
  4. This only portends bad things for us with Willis....
  5. BGIM wins. Damn, that only took 3 minutes.
  6. Quick, who can be the first to name who the player is behind Thurman in the picture on today's BB.com story? Here's the linky-poo Get set, go!
  7. They probably just can't market "NFL Sideline Suits" as easily...
  8. please make this stop
  9. Happy birthday, fellas.
  10. Maybe you should start by changing your title...
  11. So what the hell did they say?
  12. I dunno...I was playing at a public course a couple years back. I was standing in the fairway on one hole waiting to shoot, while another guy was in the fairway adjacent to mine (going in the opposite direction). He was just a little bit in front of me, but basically directly to my right side by about 20 yards. I heard a swing, and felt a "whiz" go right in front of my nose. That bastard hit the ball directly sideways. I still cannot figure out how he did that, but that ball came about 1 inch from my head at a blistering pace. If he had hit the ball any more forward, I don't even want to know what kind of brain damage I would have now.
  13. You might even say, get ready for Matthews...
  14. No way, man. Iron Chef all the way for me.
  15. I saw this in an article on Yahoo... HALF their playbook was removed because of an injury to their ROOKIE TIGHT END? Granted, the guy was a #6 pick and a really talented player, but doesn't it seem a little ridiculous to have half your entire offense based on one raw rookie tight end?
  16. My brother-in-law, a Bears fan, basically told me that Gandy wasn't anything special. More suited to Guard than Tackle, and probably not good enough to be a starter at that. He had no love for the guy and was fairly happy to see him go. Not much of a ringing endorsement, but you never know with JMac.
  17. Damn, I thought this was going to be about J. Losman.

  19. I think his brain was working faster than his fingers.
  20. All the best.
  21. Rubbish! No way in hell does THIS PICTURE lose the contest. Sam was robbed.
  22. I agree with you there, I think Gandy will definitely be the Marcus Price of 2005. I just don't think he'll prove to have enough to start at LT, whereas Teague has done so in the past, and we now have one or two additional guys who can probably do a nice job at C. The problem with Peters is getting him on the field. If he is slated as a T, he'll have to develop significantly to make the starting roster. If they keep him at TE, we now have five TEs (Campbell, Euhus, Everett, Neufeld, and Peters) and it's clear that the coaches are high on Campbell and Euhus, if they can recover well from their injuries. Plus, there's no doubt that Everett was drafted to get on the field. Where does that leave Peters?
  23. ...is that, after tinkering all preseason, Teague will end up at LT since he has had the most experience at that spot and will probably perform the best. My guess is that Tucker will start the season as the starting C, but if "Duke" shows anything I'm guessing the job will be his sooner or later. I just don't see Gandy or Peters being able to step up and hold down the LT position, at least not right away. My brother-in-law, a Bears fan, didn't have much good to say about Gandy, so I'm not expecting much from him yet. This, of course, depends greatly on what happens between now and training camp, particularly if Shelton somehow finds his way onto the roster. If Campbell and Euhus both recover well enough to be there opening day, I wonder if Neufeld will stick as a FB instead of TE. I guess it will come down to who we prefer, Burns or Neufeld. But this Everett kid's got me excited, and I think these coaches will be looking for ways to get this kid on the field. That spells trouble for Neufeld if the other two guys are getting healthy.
  24. Riiiight.....
