  1. I watched the Bills game at a sports bar here, and the TB-Minn game was on the TV right next to ours, so I saw a bunch of it. Basically, Tampa played a hell of a game on both offense and defense, and I'd be wary of them. That said, Minnesota really blew a bunch of chances. It's hard to say how much of it was Minnesota really sucking, or Tampa really forcing them to suck. I got the impression that it was basically some of both. I, for one, would be very wary of them next week.
  2. True, but I thought they did a damn good job in the second half, finally opening up some holes for Willis. I think they started wearing them down, probably because they were on the field so much.
  3. Love goa...my fave is Astral Projection, a couple of guys out of Israel.
  4. It's on the Q&A page
  5. It's basically activated charcoal, so it absorbs substances in your gut before they get into your system. So you have to take the pills while you're drinking. I'm not sure how much alcohol can overcome the pills, or if it will prevent you from getting drunk, but it doesn't sound like a particularly enjoyable way to prevent a hangover.
  6. Well, if they really want to win, they can distract JP the whole game by dressing in tight shorts and no shirts.
  7. Personally, I think this game hinges on one thing: how our offensive line does against their front 7. I hear a lot about how the Texans are going to stack 8 in the box to stop Willis and force JP to beat us. I'm not so sure. I think we might see them start out with just their front 7 to see how they fare against our shaky O-line. If their 7 match up well enough with our line and shut down Willis without too much trouble, we could be in for a long day. If, however, Willis moves the chains and they need to bring up their safety, then it should get interesting. Then again, it would be interesting to see how Mularkey adjusts if their front 7 are strong enough to stop the running game. Perhaps going to a 4-receiver set? More throws to the back or TE? Should be an interesting game of chess.
  8. Bills 9, Texans 7. Lindell makes three, but misses a 41 yarder in the closing minutes that would have forced Houston to score a TD. Instead, they get one last shot but fall short.
  9. I can only imagine the uproar here if the Saints second game was hosting New England instead of us, and the decision was made to play the game in Foxboro. Oh the humanity! By the way, has anyone pointed out the distinct advantage we have playing NFC opponents in 3 of the first 4 games? Losses to NFC teams hurt much less come playoff time than losses to AFC teams, so this could potentially give JP a little buffer at the start of the season while he gets things going.
  10. This just puzzles me. Was Dorenbos doing that poorly? I had no inclination of this.
  11. I know, that's all I see when I watch that replay. Block in the back, half the distance to the goal. First down.
  12. Don't forget...Get 'er done, TD! To be said whenever...well, you know.
  13. If Gandy plays well enough at LT this year, I think Preston gets his shot at C and Teague is gone.
  14. Hey, I remember the dark times as well as the next guy. But it's not like J-ville is a bad team...they barely missed the playoffs last year, optimism for the team is high, and they still can't sell out the season opener in time? Bah. Besides, this day and age is very different from the late 70s. With teams always looking to make the most money possible, you gotta show a lot of support for the team. I wouldn't want to make that the sole criteria for keeping a team either, but hey, the NFL is a much different business nowadays...
  15. Forget New Orleans for a second...what about Jacksonville? Criminy, the home opener this weekend is likely to be blacked out. WTF? How does this city deserve a franchise?
  16. Hadn't seen or heard anything about that...
  17. Hold your tongue, young man.
  18. Wow, Dorenbos is gone. What a shame. A great story, and the guy was an incredible long snapper. I really think his wicked fast snaps gave Moorman a distinct advantage. Hopefully this other guy is just as good. He must somehow provide a little more bang for the buck, although I'm not sure just how.
  19. Interesting. Kinda surprised they couldn't tell that from the preliminary look.
  20. I have no idea where that article came from. Maybe Sully is feeling a little under the weather?
  21. Yeah, well, if you believe everyone here, the Bills won't get even a sniff of the playoffs this year, so at the end of the season you'll be kicking yourself for spending all that time watching a bunch of losers instead of your own flesh and blood. How's that?
  22. Wonder if Ritzmann will be elevated to the regular roster once Roscoe comes back (and one of the other WRs is dropped), whereupon Gause will get signed to the PS...
  23. Same reason people can't criticize Michael Moore without screaming something about obesity.
  24. Absolutely. I replayed it on Tivo in slow mo and it was not just clearly a forward lateral, it was so ridiculously forward I can't believe nobody asked for it to be reviewed. But you're right, it didn't matter; the guy could have scored on his own anyway.
  25. And you're doing what to help?
