  1. Perhaps, but Seattle sure didn't help themselves by dragging their feet at the end of the first half. WTF was up with that? Seems pretty questionable to me. Kinda like Philly not trying too hard to win it last year...
  2. Ya give them an inch, they'll end up taking a yard, my friend.
  3. I don't like Nate all that much (hate showboaters), but I still think he's better than anybody else we have. And at that price, you can't not keep him around. That said, with such a small price tag, he sure would be a nice target for a tag and trade. I'm sure a lot of other teams would consider trading for that one-year salary.
  4. If they continue with "Ask the Coach" and "Ask the GM", at least we'll get to read something with real words and grammar. And they may actually tell us something.
  5. Mental note: Must remember to stay away from posts with all capital letters.
  6. Please stop this. I beg you.
  7. Whew...I thought you were going to say that it's sad because they suddenly realized he can't read.
  8. I have access to some heavier stuff if you think you'll need it.
  9. Well, there's always this: perhaps they also realize the great importance of a dominant front four, and are now going to commit a huge effort to obtain one.
  10. I actually got to GO to that one. Lucky me. Although the blocked punt and the subsequent TD were right in front of me.
  11. Maybe McNally just wanted the opportunity to mentor someone.
  12. Nice to see ya around here again.
  13. Does that mean SOPRANO isn't posting here anymore?
  14. Hmm. I don't think we'll be seeing any blimps of any kind at the Ralph anytime soon...
  15. I'm sure he realized that it was the only way he'd get another DC job. Once Gibbs retires and Gregggggg-o takes over, Gray will be back in the DC driver's seat. Only this time, he'll probably be able to ride Gregggggg-o's coattails to a head coaching spot to some desperate team.
  16. They supposedly do carry some programming in HD, but on DirecTV I have not yet been able to find it. The DirecTV folks told me what channel they "thought" the programming was carried on, but they haven't been right yet.
  17. Poor Dorenbos. Probably pissed off that he would've been the one to go this year.
  18. He's a hot commodity? If he doesn't take the Bills job, he'll be sitting on his sofa next season.
  19. For some odd reason, the name "Rudy" comes to my mind. I can't figure out why...
  20. I basically stopped reading right there.
  21. All I know is, if Ted came back and played only on third downs, that would be a big upgrade for this defense.
  22. As I've said before, this is one of the things I noticed about Lovie Smith when he took over the Bears, and I wish we would get a coach who would say the same thing. One of Lovie's first comments when taking over the Bears was that the team's first and most important goal at that time was to beat Green Bay, whatever it took. Green Bay would be their Super Bowl, or something to that effect. I've been wishing that we would hire a guy who would come in and say "Our first goal in the process of making this team into a champion is to beat New England."
  23. DAMMIT I could never figure that one out.
  24. How about "all of the time"?
  25. It doesn't have to be funny. If he gets any kind of thought in his head, original or not, he repeats it. Over and over and over, ad nauseum. It's the only way he can fill the ten minutes of air time out of every twenty before the next SportsCenter update. He really made a great point when someone e-mailed him a while back complaining that Lenny P and Gazoo were ripping on the Bills' hiring of Levy because they're just Donohoe cronies. He said he was going on air to "defend" his ESPN mates. His only defense, however, was cracking jokes about how old Levy and Wilson are. I now prefer riding to work in silence in my car than listening to this jackass.
