  1. Yes, but....who do the Bills pick??!?
  2. Strange how that article happened to appear today...Ozymandius? Are you really Connor Byrne?
  3. I would take one of them regardless of whether we sign Reyes. Chances are Villarial won't start and finish all 16 games, so having three starter-quality guards puts us in a great position.
  4. I know he was supposed to meet with the Lions after us, but it sounded like he was very pleased with his visit to Buffalo. I was hoping we would sign him. Even if he doesn't end up the starting LG he would be a heck of a backup.
  5. I also saw a segment with Mort when they were talking about the success and stability of the Steelers, and he was sure to mention Tom Donohoe as part of that.
  6. It does not require one, but it is not incorrect to use one. focusing = focussing
  7. If you haven't seen it before, check out this journal from a woman who rode her bike around the area a few years back. It was posted before, I recall, but if you haven't seen it yet it's a fascinating read.
  8. I think there are two things to consider: how long before they should be able to make the playoffs, and how long before they can establish a consistent winner. I think we should be able to make the playoffs by next year with all the right moves. But I don't think this team will be a consistent winner, with a chance of winning it all, for at least 3 years.
  9. I agree, we should trade down if the option is there, unless one of those two guys happen to be there (which they won't). However, I wonder if the recent CBA dealings might have some affect on Jones and his willingness to do business with Ralph, even on draft day? My guess is that it won't, particularly since this would have more to do with Jones getting what he wants, rather than the other way around.
  10. Full draft coverage on NFL Network
  11. In that case, you should hope we trade down.
  12. Would you have said the same thing in '02 when it was Williams vs. McKinnie?
  13. This is going to be "Mike Williams vs. Bryant McKinnie" all over again.
  14. What, this thread wasn't good enough for yous guys? As far as Clayton goes, I can't say for sure because I don't recall exactly what he has been saying, but my impression is that the "poison pill" clause that was introduced into the CBA is not finalized. It's part of the CBA that hasn't been formally voted on yet, but will be later this year. So even though it's part of the CBA, it's not officially part of it...yet. I'm guessing that this is where Ralph and Gazoo differ...Gazoo probably is getting on Ralph's case for crying about a clause that isn't officially part of it yet, but Ralph (rightly so, in my mind) is raising a ruckus about it to make sure that as much public support as possible is on his side, forcing the owners' hands. Just my $0.02.
  15. I love Kliban's work. The man was really a pioneer, in some respects. He died a few years back, didn't he?
  16. That was just a thing of beauty.
  17. Easily the best article I've read so far on Wilson and his one-man (perhaps now two-man) crusade. Rehashes a lot of facts that are already known but it does a nice job putting it in perspective. Roth gets it right
  18. Don't forget that if any of the big names happen to drop a couple of slots (D'Brick, Mario, etc), there are going to be other teams itching to move up and grab them way before we get a shot at them.
  19. That did get me fired up. Thanks!
  20. No kidding? Does that mean no more trips to Salt Lake for you? Dang. I wish I got paid the dough they're claiming on that list for what I do.
  21. Dude, she wants to pursue "additional schooling to study medicine". I'm sure I could teach her a thing or two.
  22. And yet...your name is an insult.
  23. I think you forgot to put the title of this thread in ALL CAPS
  24. Wow...trying to restrict season ticket sales to a Redskins credit card? And I thought they couldn't get much worse than charging for watching training camp.
  25. Just when you think you have a grasp on the whole salary cap thing... Okay, so one of the points that has been made time and again during this whole Ralph debacle is the one made (again) today by Pitoniak in the D&C with respect to sh!tbags like Jones and Snyder: They have more dough, so they can pay out higher signing bonuses. WTF? I thought all signing bonuses count against the cap, it's just a matter of how much and over how long a period of time. When don't they count against the cap?
