  1. Oh that was awesome...thanks! This team just has an incredible amount of heart.
  2. Ha ha...no kidding. Problem is, I was a little pissed at the way the Sabres were playing up to that point. Sloppy play especially in their own end, Sens were beating them to the puck consistently, and we couldn't get a decent shot on goal. Then we get the penalty, and I figured no way do we get two shorthanded goals in this game. I didn't think we'd even get another shot on goal. Okay, lesson learned. Oh, and I didn't turn off the Oilers game.
  3. I'm almost too embarrassed to admit it...when the Sabres got that penalty with just over 2 minutes left...I couldn't take it anymore. I turned it off and took the dogs for a walk. WHEN I LEFT IT WAS 4-5 AND WHEN I GOT BACK IT'S 7-6? You gotta be kidding me.
  4. Jes' doin' my job. It's messy, but someone's gotta do it. As long as he stays away from the naked bootlegs on 4th and everything, he should be okay.
  5. So I'm sure when the Bills make the playoffs within the next year or two, they'll attribute this success mostly to the group of guys Levy and Jauron inherited...from TD.
  6. Given that we play New England in Week 1, he might not make it that long. Especially if we punt from their 32.
  7. Take your pick, they both did it. But the one that will always get me is the Gregggggo call in the New England game at home. Punted from the 32. Egads.
  8. He fits our system perfectly. I see him starting by the end of the year.
  9. Somebody should e-mail that to Colin "Douchebag" Cowherd. He loves spending the day mocking Ralph and Marv for being old, considering he has no other material. Edit: As a matter of fact, I just did.
  10. Is this the kindler, gentler JSP?
  11. Yeah, what the idiot said.
  12. AWESOME. This Ottawa series is going to be one hell of a matchup.
  13. Please. Do not prod the bear yet again.
  14. You lost me at "Am I the only one..."
  15. Maybe now that we'll see him on third downs, he'll have more chances to.
  16. That's one of the things I do find encouraging about this draft. I think Whittner will end up starting this year (though maybe not right away), McCargo will end up being either a starter or a heavy contributer this year, Youboty will likely end up as the nickel corner, and Simpson will probably be the eventual starter at FS. Then there is Williams, who may end up contributing heavily at DT. That sounds like a lot of potential production out of the first five picks, assuming of course that they pan out the way we hope. Which is wishful thinking, but nonetheless.
  17. True, although I think I recall reading that Ko Simpson is a little bummed that he has to play in the cold weather in Buffalo. But I think him being drafted trumps that.
  18. That is far too insightful for this place. What, have you been drinking again this morning?
  19. It's nice to see, but I still don't get his ratings of New England and New York. I find it hard to argue that we had a better overall draft than those two. Yes, we did get good players and yes, we did have a strong second day, but the Jets took two big steps to having a dominant offensive line for many years, and New England got some good people, too. At best, I'd rate us all the same.
  20. Now that is freaking funny!
  21. Too bad Colin "Douchebag" Cowherd didn't hear that. I can't stand the guy and refuse to listen to him, but I just HAD to turn the car radio on this morning just for a minute...and guess what? He started right in on how the Bills had a disaster of a draft, and spent the whole time ragging on Marv and Ralph for being old. God how I hate that guy. At least now I won't have the urge to turn him on again, ever.
  22. The only real issue I have with this draft is that we could have had the top-rated DT and the top-rated OT. Instead, we get the 2nd best S and the 3rd best DT. Then again, I don't know jack sh-- about these players. The top-rated OT ended up slipping further down than anyone expected. If we had ended up with Huff anf McCargo, I would have been very happy. As it is, we got two players to help at two positions of need, which is good, we just probably overpaid for it. If we can get a decent OL guy in the third, I'll be satisfied.
  23. ESPN Radio discussed it briefly and their conclusion was about $16 mill.
